Artim chuckles, in good nature.

Artim is caught off guard by the approaching songster, but quickly he gains a face of composure, either real or forced. Artim listens to the man sing, then after learning of what the singing man seeks, he pauses for a moment to collect his thoughts, before responding in words.

"The sling that you seek

It is colder than a evil witch's tit.

What further I have to say
Is that it is epic in every way
And I must receive ample coin for it.

I will ask you to double your offer
Yes, I myself seek to fill the coffers
With as much coin as I will desire to fit.

Artim is momentarily vexed—his attention pulled by one rhymer then a riddler...but he smiles, feeling the energy of a good challenge, though none can say what will be the outcome.

Artim senses determination in that creased forehead of this elf...the rather smooth features of such a being being bent by will. Hearing the elf's words, Artim pauses, then smiles. In his face, one can see confidence rise.

"It is poetry, that you speak, elf. Is this a riddle said by your people, from old to young, when telling of the power and forces of nature? For I hear there words, and I deduce from them, an answer: air, that is all these things—breath, feeling, nothingness and giving toward flight. Tell me...have I answered your riddle correctly? And what may I say to you in return—do you wish to hear what wares are held in the Kabinet of the Mind...or...shall it be, that you are one of the Mirari, come to test my worth?"

The Wood Elf named Erlendir smiles faintly and inclines his head once.

"I am air, that which rustles the leaves and carries song from afar. You have answered correctly, though I am not one of these Mirari which you mention. I would like to hear your wares."

Upon hearing the items and their description, his attention is caught by the Ring of the Wood Elves.

"This artifact of my people - I would like to use it for that which it was intended: to protect our forests and ancient homelands. Though, I am but a poor ranger and have naught to offer save the clothes on my back."

Artim responds: "I can see you are guided by a purpose, but what I offer for sale or trade is not a charity. If we were to agree to an act of chance, a decision decided by a coin...it would at least need to have something that has some value to me. And the suit from your back, is not a thing that suits me. But the future is still unknown, Elf...it can be that you acquire something of value soon enough!"

"Tis a fine thing!" responds Artim. "I shall call for it to be fetched from storage."

Artim casually ignores the halfling, as it would seem, Artim, does not hear the rhyme, that is like a chime, that signals the gate, and no longer will the halfling wait, for the kabinet will open, and the inquirer may get what he is hopin'.

Or not...for Fate is either cold or hot, and when the coin lands on side, only can then Artim truly decide.
