Ulgoth's Beard and Myrkulites

Unread post by The Whistler »

If I understand correctly Ulgoth's Beard falls under ducal jurisdiction, but has no organized temples and is quite a ways off Baldur's Gate. My question is, would the local militia chase off a myrkulite priest going door to door, offering to handle funerals for a fee ? If so, who exactly handles funerals in Ulgoth's Beard ? Thanks in advance for your answers.

My personal thoughts:

While Ulgoth's is duchal territory, the laws only prevent open worship of forbidden deities, so your character should not be overly inconvenienced as long as he only provides services and does not make a point of preaching. This does not mean the citizens would not be negatively disposed, though.

I believe the local temple normally handles postmortem services.
