Spell failure! Why? How can I avoid it until it is fixed

So, some have noticed spells fail after this last reset. I think the DMs put a spell failure timer on casting so people could not exploit the "switch out weapons to cast faster" technique. That is smart, but some of the spells have spell failure timers that are too long. Here are the three offenders I found:

Greater Heroism

Lesser Mind Blank

Ice Storm- this spells timer is so bad, it literally will not stop the spell failure timer untill after the ice shard hits. Which means you have to skip a whole round to cast another spell.

These spell fail timers need to be adjusted if possible. The first two are annoying, the ice storm delay is almost downright detrimental.

Oh sorry, the fix is you have to wait till the spell failure icon disappears before casting another spell.

Also Valefort has the fix, it just hasn't gone in to the server yet. Until then, yeah the only way to avoid it is not to queue up your buffs and cast them individually, waiting for the spell failure icon to disappear after each cast.

You can insert consumables or bard inspiration in between greater heroism or other spells that have delayed buffs which cause spell failure. That way, you can cast them queued like normal. Or change your buff sequence so they are last.

I tested with cleric buffs all in a row and no problems! I'd like to hear from a Mage with quickened spell on this though.

It is good Vale, but I don't have quicken yet so I couldn't test it. Good work.

Do you have greater heroism? There is a delay from cast to apply on that one which always made the next spell fail so it is a good way to test (though still won't help with quicken.)

Quickened spells are treated separately there should be no issue with those.

Look, just levelled and found that the spell failure thing that was put in, messes with quicken when using two spells that are quickened in the same turn. I'm based on autoquickening so it's kinda noticeable.

Could the blood magic feat be exempt from this spell failure stuff? Increadibly annoying having to handle a secret countdown every time you toggle the feat, especially during combat.

I hope you are sure the sf thing is needed, cause it definitely has had a negative impact on many players so far.

You also get the spell failure debuff when using the Deflection SLA feat. I'm hoping this is unintended, as that way it's not ever worth memorizing in my humble but also ultimately correct and above reproach opinion.

Probably also happens with the combat mode feats like northlander hewing.
