I have to say, as one of the long term elven players of the server, and one who has spent a really long time in a position of influence in a focal guild, I sincerely hope the people that make bladesingers are very limited, and that those who do are bound by lore in their RP. I find the potential immersion breaking powerbuilding to be a little disturbing. Tantive has pushed for this PRC, but Tantive has spent countless hours RPing the training and dedication needed to become a bladesinger. I would almost prefer this class be considered application only, because it should be relatively rare to find bladesingers.

It wouldn't mitigate any of the aforementioned.

There are tons of better power builds for gish types. Anyone who power builds and chooses blade singer is doing it wrong. Not that they're bad, they aren't...it's just that 6/10 progression and the high feat requirements leaves a lot to be desired.

Thing is, Bladesinger has very strict RP requirements in PNP, and I think you should consider those if you are planning to make one, or you will find that the elves of the server react accordingly.

Its the elven version of a paladin in a rp sense, But well we don't make paladins application only.

Not sure I entirely agree there, because the depth of training that an elf would have to go through to be a full fledged Bladesinger and pass muster would take a very long time, and the bladesingers are supposed to be dedicated to the elven way of life, though I think paladins should also be very much bound by their RP and subject to losing their spells and abilities if they offend their deity. In the case of the bladesinger, that doesn't work as the magic doesn't come from a deity. HEnce, reaction of the elven community.

then half elves would not be old enough to learn it, let alone live long enough :(

Table: Half-Elf Aging Effects

Middle Age 62
old age 93
venerable 125

for an elf

Middle
175 years

Old
263 years

Venerable
350 year

but I think we will have alot of half-elf bladesingers :(

Technically, nope. Half elves have hurdles in age and willingness. Cause its mostly taught from a master to an apprentice. And teaching it to a half elf is frowned upon too. And possibly even considered so the half elf had stolen the secrets, which by then would mean you'de be hunting that half elf for the crime.

Honestly, I think it will be up to the elven community to police the bladesingers, which kinda stinks. If you can't commit to the rp, make another build in NWN2DB

I would love to roleplay this class properly, which is why I hope someone would like to be a mentor/teacher for her.

Hey why else do think elven wizards are so much fun to rp?
You don't have to run around telling people that you are superior, simply because your perfected excellence already shines through every action you do. Even the most mundane the action you perform, you do with so much grace and elegance no other race could ever hope to match.

Friend of mine is playing a elf on the server now who hides a reall small and subtle insult into everything he says. Really fun rp.
