Hmmm, Maecius or Endelyon aught to update the state of the server because I have a hard time believing there is uncertainty at this point! We suffered through a lot of DDoS attacks for the past couple of years, but the hard work of others was quite beneficial in improving our stability. Our player base is larger than it's been at any point since I joined the server 2 1/2 years ago with a solid DM team weaving fantastic stories.

Regarding login the forums have nothing to do with your account settings in the actual game as this is a fan made/supported persistent world. So any time you want to use a different account just change your login information when signing in to multi-player. Note that by doing this you won't be able to access players you created under a different login, but other than that, anonymity is pretty easy to obtain.

All this said I think you will find the community is more than happy to assist and if your primary concern is with grouping up for adventure RP with others your character doesn't need to be all that well built to be able to enjoy and feel useful in a group.

It will take awhile to master the game and figure out your main toon. We have a way in game reroll a toon and save some of your exp....so trial and error is not to punishing.
It's an old game but the community is solid so I doubt bgtscc is going away any time soon.

This server is not going anywhere... it will be here for decades to come in all likelihood. As long as MMORPG's do not offer rp and stories there will be a niche for games/servers such as this. Only when that changes will the server truly die... and thats prob not going to happen any time soon.

Regarding the not having a clue about builds and that... Really doesn't matter too much, I started a drow Warrior/Wizard without having a clue and the RP is great although leveling by grinding is a bit of a challenge in UD with UCL +2 but yea that's probably the only reason to look for a strong build... To solo grind which is probably not your goal although sometimes necessary if noone is around

Holly cow, I stumbled across this by chance... Cant believe this exists. I'm a 28 year old father of 2, And this game was a HUGE part of my childhood lol. I of course want to fall face first into this server and community. But I need help getting copies of the games to install on my PC.
Any help on that ? some special place I can go to download em ?
