Don't forget though, Elves already get Arcane Archer which is a really nice PRC, just saying. I play elves too, but we shouldn't forget what is already availableBlackhorizon wrote:If this is your sole argument then I'll have to point out: Why dwarven, Thayan, Lathander, Selune, Gond or any other similiarly limited option? Just saying.Steve wrote:WHY SHOULD ELVES HAVE ALL THE FUN?!?
That being said, I vote "no", just because Steve brought it up

Re: With Bladesinger...why not Spellsword?
Well i voted no. Bladesinger is a rich lore class in forgotten realms that comes with its own RP requirements and limitations. A spellsword is not, All it does is undermine the lore and dilute the classes reputation and training. Spellsword is not a forgotten realms class for a reason, It wouldn't be a closely guarded elven secret if humans could to it better.

Are you saying that the D&D book Complete Warrior is not applicable to the Forgotten Realms?ZestyDragon wrote:Well i voted no. Re: With Bladesinger...why not Spellsword?
Hard to vote because we don't know what the other priority is.
I always love every new prc or new stuff in general, but not sure what has to move to get this one in.
For example if it's this prc versus the Bereft prc than I would obviously go for this one.
If it is this one versus crafting, well crafting it is.
Is there a list available that conveniently shows everything that is currently being worked on?

Re: With Bladesinger...why not Spellsword?
It is a supplement book majority has no lore attachment to forgotten realms, and in this case it would be stepping on lore. You want to play it just make an elf/half elf there is no valid reason to add another. Unless we want to start adding non human circle mages, or different god shadow adepts, maybe elves want to be thay knights?.Steve wrote:Are you saying that the D&D book Complete Warrior is not applicable to the Forgotten Realms?ZestyDragon wrote:Well i voted no. Re: With Bladesinger...why not Spellsword?
Complete Warrior is not a setting specific book, it however has a few classes which appear in a setting. Bladesinger has multiple iterations over many books including races of Faerun. I've been looking around, and I believe Complete Warrior is the only which mentions spellsword.
From my search it shows Swordmage as a class first appears in Forgotten Realms Player's Guide and in Dragon Magazine #367. Those two sources are fourth edition books/articles.

Re: With Bladesinger...why not Spellsword?
Well...I guess we'd better scrub out Bear Warrior, Order of the Bow Initiate, and others!

There is one other book I see spellsword appear in, and thats Tome & Blood page 68. Which is third edition. Sword and Fist along with Warrior for Order of the Bow Initiate. Bear warrior Complete warrior and Oriental adventures.
