Elven Warrior
Kind of a tricky one, this. I would want to make an elven melee character, but with couple of rules :
1. No spellcasting
2. Must have Evasion
3. No XP penalty
4. Must not be Monk
This seems like an interesting concept to me since Elves are more suited towards magic based classes or sneakers.
So off to your creative minds guys, thanks!

F12/AK10/Tempest5/WD3
Wood elf, DEX 17, max STR.
Edit : If you prefer more offense at the expense of saves replace AK with dervish.

Re: Elven Warrior
Hm. Interesting set of rules. Excluding Monk, you can access Evasion through Ranger 9, Rogue 2, SD 2 and Barbarian 18.
Maybe 20 Barbarian/10 AK. You will have a hard time attaining both EDR and Epic Rage, so perhaps it would be best to focus on STR (Wood Elf). It is a solid build with nicely balanced saves (Reflex from WF, Will from AK and Spellcraft), good amount of HP, some DR and good damage.
Another option is maybe Fighter 16/Dervish 10/4 Whirling Dervish, also 2h.
If you prefer dual wielding I would give +1 to Chad's build.

Re: Elven Warrior
Epic Rage requirements: BAB 25, Mighty Rage, and 21 Strength.
Anyhow, you could make a Wood or Wild Elf Barbarian... Either a level 30 barbarian, or mix it up with 10 levels of some PRC. Anointed Knight, Dragonslayer, Warrior of Darkness, Dragon Warrior, etc... Just get some strength, and Extend Rage feats and you will be pretty solid.
For example, I have a strength based halfling Barbarian/Dragon Slayer and it is pretty neat with Northlander Hewing.

As for some other build, Fighter 14/Rogue 16 can be done without multiclassing experience penalty.

Could also go fighter 12/FB5/Dervish 10/WD3 for a two hander. Lower saves but solid AC and offense.

Re: Elven Warrior
Why starting DEX 16? And Why no WM to 7? I would also aim to go with 11 starting CON (for that lovely belt which gives +3 to CON and STR). I think you could get some better starting stats with Wood Elf.
It is a fine build, I just don't like WM when you compare the investment-output ratio with other melee PRCs like FB, AK and even Dervish.

Re: Elven Warrior
Yeah, I would definitely adjust the stats and exchange two DC levels for two WM levels on that build... Though I avoid WM in most cases, I always feel like there are too many of them running about.

Re: Elven Warrior
I feel like WM 7 is really not needed when you have a 15-20 crit weapon like scimitar and I prefer getting DC 10 to get the better Divine wrath benefits. And why not starting at 16 DEX ? Go get that mithral chainmail with a +2 DEX or buy that +4 DEX item and shoot for the breastplate.

Or perhaps a single class Ranger.

Are there +4 DEX items in shop? I thought they weren't available, not even in Avernus shop? (except that +4 Wisdom amulet).Valefort wrote:I feel like WM 7 is really not needed when you have a 15-20 crit weapon like scimitar and I prefer getting DC 10 to get the better Divine wrath benefits. There is now a +4 INT item and a +4 DEX item available in game.

Really? I'm aware of the INT one but where can you obtain the DEX item? o.Ochad878262 wrote:There is now a +4 INT item and a +4 DEX item available in game.

Can you tell where?chad878262 wrote:There is now a +4 INT item and a +4 DEX item available in game.
By the way I like WD/WM synergy here. Also fits in nicely with the RP concept, I would think.
