having resolution issues

my monitor is a 1920 res monitor and windows has it set at 1920, but when i log in my highest res option is 1388. that is not good. it is hard to play at 1388 and its way smaller when i am used to 1920 on my full screen.

things ive done
restarted game
changed to different settings
restarted comp
changed res on comp and back again

Alt Enter
Set resolution to a smaller number, Accept changes
Alt Enter into fullscreen mode
Set resolution into the highest number, accept changes.

ok. so give it to me barney style. i press alt enter and it just swaps me full to windowed screen

ok so i fixed it (for now). not sure what i did or didnt do to get it fixed but here is what i did when it worked.

-set main monitor to another screen (i use two screens)
-switched from full to window 3 times
-reduced res to 1000ish
-restarted game
-switched main monitor to the one i want to use
-restarted game
-after all this the game finally showed that i could use the 1920 res and set it to it.
