I understand it's a niche set as most characters that use padded armor will probably graduate to clothing eventually, but I would like to at least see a padded variant of the Seven Suns line. Even the Elven Ranger Armor in the new Elven shop is too restricting for my ranger
Where are all the good padded armors?

Where are all the good padded armors?
Playing two dexers, I have noticed a lack of good padded armors either to buy in stores or cropping up at Mudd's. Leather armor seems well supported for low-mid levels, yet there's only one decent +3 suit I've found in Soubar that adds the deflect arrows feat. Both of my chars are wearing +4 padded but I would gladly trade it down to +3 if it gave bonuses to H/MS/Tumble etc.

Try to get mithral chain shirt instead... nobody uses padded its too weak, and the mithral outdoes it in every possible way.

Re: Where are all the good padded armors?
So that would be AC 4/6 for the chain shirt vs 1/8 for the padded armor, right? So a +1 padded armor is equal to an unenchanted chain shirt for a high dex cha, and I would need to get hold of mithril chain shirt +3 to equal my current AC with padded armor +4? Worth it for my ranger perhaps who lacks uncanny dodge, but not for my rogue. Because of the levelling curve I get my dex mod to 7 quite fast but it takes a while to get to 9.
I was referring more to specialty armor tbh, as rogues need all the H/MS boosts they can get and leather armor is better represented.

You have to wear bracers of armor for that one though!7threalm wrote:go for speed wyren padded armor is 10% speed bonus you can buy it in bereghost

With regards to padded armor, I would like to see more without ASF (Beside the one in Soubar)!

And the bracers are more potential stealth boosts lost - the speed bonus is nice, but what I would be after is padded equivalents of the Assassin's Messenger or Silent Armor, with perhaps a +3 variant tucked away somewhere.
I can't stress enough how valuable those skill boosts are - I'm getting +2 or 3 to H/MS from all my gear except my armor, bracers and one ring and I still get spotted or heard by mobs below my level fairly often.
These all exist for leather but not padded (that I'm aware of), which seems strange as my experience of rogue play has been that you spend a lot longer with Dex modifier of 7-8 than you do 4-6.
