Just saying that those items could be sold in Sshamath as well... You know, spoils from Drow raiding parties or what not.

Fighter12/Dervish10/WM5/WD3 ( or SD3 ) is a build to consider. Obviously works best on a wood elf. That build on a drow always reminds me of Zaknafein

Show me this build please.. im not sure how you get the reqs for wd or sd before level 12 in fighter unless you are taking ww attack in your fighter feats instead of piggybacking it from dervish.mrm3ntalist wrote:Fighter12/Dervish10/WM5/WD3 ( or SD3 ) is a build to consider. Which I can make that way but loses a feat (edit: 2feats)

Re: Elven Warrior
Feats required for Dervish: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Weapon Focus
Feats required for Weapon Master: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Weapon Focus , Mobility, Spring Attack*, Whirlwind Attack
Feats required for Whirling Dervish: Dodge, Mobility
*Spring Attack is given with three levels of Whirling Dervish or Dervish, actually.
Whirling Dervish requires 8 skill points in Hide, Move Silently, and Tumble, thus the soonest you can take levels of Whirling Dervish is at level 14.
Following feats can be taken with fighter bonus feats: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Weapon Focus, Spring Attack*, Whirlwind Attack
Thus the order of leveling could be as follows: Fighter -> Dervish -> Whirling Dervish -> Weapon Master --- or --- Fighter -> Dervish -> Weapon Master -> Shadowdancer.
So... What is the problem here?

Aaron was trying to determine how to also get free Whirlwind attack. To answer that question, it is not possible and here is why. Whirling Dervish requires 14 levels to qualify and you don't get Whirlwind attack until level 6 (you are only taking 3 levels of WD). 14+6=20 anyway so even though you can get Fighter and Dervish in those first 14 levels, you wouldn't get your WW Attack until level 20 (if you were taking WD to 6, which you're not), thus no longer being able to qualify for Weapon Master. Basically you have to take CE, Dodge and Weapon Focus during your first ~6 Fighter levels, then you level Dervish at least 3 levels and make sure to take Mobility prior to 14, then you take Whirling Dervish and make sure you grab Whirlwind Attack on level 15 at which point you can get Weapon Master. If you want to get Epic Weapon Specialization and Melee Mastery you have to make sure your last couple levels are not Fighter, so for M3ntalists build you want to go something like:Comments Only wrote:Thus the order of leveling could be as follows: Fighter -> Dervish -> Whirling Dervish -> Weapon Master --- or --- Fighter -> Dervish -> Weapon Master -> Shadowdancer.
So... What is the problem here?
F to 6
D to 14 (F6/D8)
WD to 17 (F7/D8/WD3)
WM to 22 (F7/D8/WM5/WD3)
F to 28 (F12/D8/WM5/WD3)
D to 30 (F12/D10/WM5/WD3)
You save the Spring Attack Feat from D3 (and WD3), but you still have to take CE, Dodge, Mobility, Whirlwind Attack and Weapon Focus. You could of course go to F8/D6 in pre-epic to get Greater Weapon Focus, but you definitely want to save F10 so you have the ability to take an extra epic bonus feat. Your L12 bonus feat will be Melee Mastery and you need to make sure you can take Greater/Epic Weapon Specialization so it might be better to go F8/D6 so that you take Dervish 27-30, which should give you enough epic feats left to get G/E WS.

Re: Elven Warrior
Well, there is a way to get the Whirlwind feat for free, and that is the Tempest PRC, but you will still have to spend a feat on Two-Weapon Fighting and Improved Two-Weapon Fighting - the PRC gives Greater Two Weapon fighting for free... And as a build it should work quite fine, as you could get 9 attacks per round with high crit scimitars or something.
But no buggy Expose Weakness though.

Re: Elven Warrior
what i came up with that would hit pretty hard. i dont think this is a power build but should do fine. saves are not very good and that bothers me a lot. AC might be a problem as well.
