Jelly dodge boots

Unread post by Engrim »

I just bought a pair of boots for 20k, It said +3 dodge and +3 dodge vs bludgeoning. I was curious about dodge since it often stacks. However after my whirlwind rage enden i lost 3 ac and everytime i put it on and off it removes 3 ac. After few seconds (whit more on and off) i had -3 ac in total on my character. +3 boots is still better than my last boots, but losing AC after every rage is not very useful. The last owner of this boots just sold it to someone else(me), but i don’t think this is a game mechanic.

It's the +3 slashing dodge AC. It's a known bug that will do it. It has something to do with how the engine recognizes the specialized AC as normal AC or something like that. Get that AC removed by a DM and it will fix them.

I dare say your barbarian rage AC decrease is triggering the Dodge AC bug. It is true that those AC will stack (so you'll have +6 vs Bludgeoning), but whenever you remove those boots you'll also lose the full 6 AC. Relogging should fix AC issues.

Sounds like one should avoid these boots as barbarian then...
