The Last Remaining Fire-Stone: Bio

Unread post by DonnieDreams »

First Name: Mal'achi
Last Name: Fire-Stone

Appearance

If first impressions are truly what we remember about a person then the first impression of one Mal'achi Fire-Stone would be that of a walking wall of muscle and sinew. His bulging muscles and ripped physique would rival that of any body builder today, yet when places on the short and already stout stature of a dwarf it becomes a physique of a god.
In basic appearance, it would be easy to mistake Mal'achi for one of Kraak Helzakk's slayers. Though, a slayer he is not. His hairstyle is slightly different, he wears it in a tight woven dread lock Mohawk braided pony tail. He is however covered in tattoos depicting battles of orcs and dwarves, that is those that are now marred by the scarring on his torso, for he wears no upper armor, only chain leggings. The rest of his armor, pauldrons, elbow pads, bracers, greaves, and knee pads are all covered in sharp blood red spikes. Upon his back a pack strapped with an armory of weapons; axe, sword, shield and bow are all at his finger tips at a moments notice.
Upon close inspection one cannot help but notice three things, his eyes; though cold and gray as the stone herself they burn with a raging inferno that could very well rival the hells themselves; the tepid odor of blood, mead, and battle that surrounds him. And finally, the stoic look upon his face as he contemplates whatever deep thought he is currently engrossed in.

Background
The Fire-Stones were a clan known for their fine weapons, from their keep the Forge Hall in the thunder peaks they supplied a large chunk of the weapon supply to Cormyr and the dale lands. Until some time in 1540 DR. A large horde of orcs descended on the hold. After nearly a month of seige the walls fell and the orcs invaded the Forge Hall. Mal'achi was only just coming of age. He remembers the battle with vivid detail, the blood,
smoke, and battle howls of the orcs still haunt his dreams nearly 12 years later.
Though, he still does not know how he managed to survive, though for a dwarf it would be pure bad luck. After the smoke cleared Mal'achi serched the dissolute hold for survivors; he found none. He was the last remaining Fire-Stone.
After hours of searching through the bodies of dead orcs and kin, he found himself standing over the body of his fallen father. He clutched his father's lifeless body to his chest,
the blood and bile spilling over him yet he cared not. His father, his whole clan wiped from the face of Toril. And, as some cruel joke the gods left him alive to witness it.
He searched frantically for his father's axe, passed down from Fire-Stone leader to Fire-Stone leader for the past thousand years, forge breaker... but he could not find it. That only made his shame that much worse.
There in that moment, among the dead he made an oath. He took his axe and shaved the sides of his head to mirror the slayers he had read about and he made an oath to find the orcs responsible and take his vengence. He would continue killing orcs until He knew he found the one responsible and Forge Breaker was back in a Fire-Stone's Hand;
or like the slayers he modeled himself as, he died in glorious battle against them.
After many years, his search lead him to Baldur's Gate far from his home lands in the Thunder Peaks. His only clue was a whisper of a war with a orc horde called the Black Orc tribe, and a rumor that they may have been motivated by the zhentarim presence in the Dalelands so that they can take out their weapons operation's competition.
Goals:
To find the person, or person's responsible for the murder of his clan and to retrieve his family's axe.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

(Dm's discretion on the item, if it would be possible to obtain. Forge Breaker was named because it was said to have broken the forge itself, and after it was cooled and hammered it still retained the heat of the forge it broke. Plot hook ideas are easily found in the background.)
