I frequently find myself to close to charge an enemy, so I was thinking of a feat that would allow point blank charge (while already in melee).
This feat would might belong in the epic category (considering the other charge feats).
Would this feat be to overpowered?
Currently the same could be achieved through:
-knockdown -> run away -> charge (gives attacks of opportunity in case of multiple enemies)
-haste/barbarian movement/monk movement -> run away -> charge (gives attacks of opportunity in case of multiple enemies)
Do these options make the feat redundant?
What penalties would it come with? Some options I though up:
-cooldown 1 min and replace regular 10 second charge restricting you to 1 charge per minute
-the -2 charge ac debuff lasts longer if gained by a point blank charge.
I dont know how hard this would be to implement technically I assume edit the charge condition to check: opponent is far away enough OR has point black charge feat.
What are your thoughts on this feat?

Re: Feat concept: Point blank charge
Squat real low kinda and initiate the charge from the knees.
Hop back and charge.
More like the ability to charge without requiring distance to build the momentum.

What you're describing, to me, sounds exactly what Power Attack is about.
