Some newbie questions
1) Are there immunity to knockdown or immunity to disarm items out there?
2) Does immunity to knockdown give immunity to bigby knockdown?
3) (surface) where can i find a vendor that sells Improved Mage Armor, Shield, and Greater Heroism wands or potions?
4) (surface) where are the so-called epic shops?
5) Is there an in-game auction house? I thought i read something about that in the news, but I'm not sure if it's actually been placed in-game.
Thank you for any insights!

Re: Some newbie questions
1. No
2. No
3. Nowhere, but there is a shop where you can buy bone wands, the enchanting can be done by players for improved mage armor and shield spells, greater heroism is too high level for that (level 4 spells on wands maximum).
4. There are three in Baldur's Gate, one in the palace's district, another one in the harbour district and a third one in the thayan enclave.
Then there is the epic shop in Hell, which is "accessible" from the surface.
5. Yes there is, find it in the Palace's dsitrcit in baldur's Gate, there are clones of that shop in the Friendly Arm inn, in Soubar and then at least two down under. They all share the same items.

Re: Some newbie questions
You forgot Doron Amar for epic items.
And I'm not sure but I think the shop in southern Sshamath sells heroism and probably greater heroism potions.
Auction house in Roaringshore as well. And unfortunately you cannot view the details of the items in Soubar.

Re: Some newbie questions
Thanks for the quick response!
Follow-up questions:
1) Are there scrolls available for every spell in the game, higher than 4th circle, etc.? Are they available from loot only, or all obtainable from shops?
2) Also, is there a poison and/or potion shop on the surface?

Re: Some newbie questions
1. Not for every spell but most are available in shops throughout the server, in accessible areas. Essentially the missing scrolls are the custom spells.
2. There are several poison shops ! There are also potions, usually in the shop selling scrolls, but less numerous than scrolls.

The Thayan Enclave should sell Greater Heroism potions.

Re: Some newbie questions
Tricky question.... there is a thread somewhere here (at work) that shows what spell is a scroll, can be scribed or sold.amber91 wrote:Thanks for the quick response!

If the text is this color, I am on duty, everything else is just my humble opinion.

You can find potions of that druid spell which gives immunity to knockdown. Doesn't last long and they're not that common but in a pinch they can turn a tough fight.

Foundation of Stone. It does slow you, so drink the potion at combat...

Re: Some newbie questions
Unless it's been changed recently, foundation of stone did make you immune to bigby knockdown. You could still be dazed, however.amber91 wrote:2) Does immunity to knockdown give immunity to bigby knockdown?
