Re: Rumors of Beregost
Lately stories from Caravans and travelers on the Tradeway between Beregost and the Lion's Way have come in regarding sightings of "moving trees" , "feelings of being watched", "unexplained goblin corpses strewn about the road". One may even say, that the woods are defending their land.

Re: Rumors of Beregost

*On one ordinary evening as part of a public lay sermon and mingling thereafter outside of the Song of the Morning in Beregost, the young deacon Kellan catches wind of various, worrisome tales whispered between residents of the outlying farmsteads. Worry lines crease foreheads as goodwives speak of second and third hand accounts regarding a ravaging band of ogres. The young deacon listens stoically and does his best to assuage the fears of the locals, promising that the church would respond swiftly. Following the gathering Kellan immediately returned to the church, informing the High Dawnpriest and then retiring to his chambers penning requests for aid to investigate and address this new threat.*

Re: Rumors of Beregost

A pair of boys come running in to town, having skipped mass to play in the local woods. The boys are filthy and out of breath, excited to show off to the other children something that they found. Kellan, about to chastise the youths for their absence at the gathering of faithful, oversees what it is that they found and, lecture forgotten, he returns to the church in due haste. Rumor spreads as parents overhear their children telling tales, that the two boys found an enormous, purple severed hand. The hand was larger than an ogre's though smaller than a giant's and was colored purple.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
On the evening of 11 Ches a group of four individuals clad in traveling garb and without armor usher a fifth that is severly injured and unconscious toward the Song of the Morning. Carrying the wounded man is the new deacon of the church, Kellan Armstrong. He is following several of Candlekeep's finest including Adallan Ragnan, Morgalia and Hinzel. The quartet entered the church and Kellan consulted briefly with the High Dawnpriest Kelddath Omlyr before nodding to his instruction and taking the survivor below to the sick rooms.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
Late one evening a bald, red-bearded young man, known to some as the deacon Kellan Armstrong can be seen conversing in the Beregost town square with none other than the rarely seen of late high dawnknight Eldarian Al'maire. The young clergyman appears exuberant at the paladin's return and makes immediately for the church, to announce him to the high dawnpriest. Shortly after the paladin follows and the church bell tolls seven times in celebration of the dawnknight's return. The next day Kellan can be seen with a perpetual smile upon his face as he sermonizes to any who'll listen celebrating the knight's return.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
*Hearing the church bells toll as she returns from the nearby crypt just outside of Beregost, Morninglord Loriah ducks down an alley and in the back door of the Inn to get cleaned up. With no one looking she jumps in the bath armor and all then washing off the crypt dust from herself and drying and shining the armor before heading to the Temple with her hair still damp.*

Re: Rumors of Beregost
In the dark of the night, a lone lantern of antique make is said to have been seen hovering through the streets of Beregost, as witnessed though parted curtains and the cracks of partly opened doors. As it came to rest before darkened alleyways for near on an hour, hovering over hitching post opposite the Song of the Morning temple, chord of familiarity may well have been struck in the hearts of those local. Was it him? Is he alive? A sign? Were pirates active on the Coast once more? Wherever it was the waves of madness and fortune had carried the infamous Captain, Kalma Hellstorm, perhaps his spirit yet still remains.... or so the rumors go.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A rotund, red-cheeked man in a slick green jacket is seen browsing the wares in the marketplace. He incessantly dabs with a small cloth at his sweaty forehead, while gesturing wildly at the wares he takes interest in. Another man is following behind with a massive, open book in his hands, and he makes sure to take notes after every celebratory outburst. The bookkeeper, some might know him as Arvan Vale, is later seen purchasing a large quantity of wares that is stashed away in his wagon. Then, he heads north.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
Recently common tavern talk has spoken of irregular occurrences of one to two persons sitting outside of the town gates. Fishing rods in hand. One more excited than the other, trying to catch what he calls "Landfish" as they run past them through the gates or further south along the Traderoad.
There are unsubstantiated rumours that Jhuild, great companionship, good jokes and an overall great time had by all was involved.

A lady in white is asking in the temple for members of the Morninglord. As the guards are busy she is waiting inside for any acolyte, priest or adventurer devoted to the temple.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
Word goes around of a fight just south of Beregost -- if something so
One-sided could even be called such. A man, a woman and a male tel'quess nearly met their ends in the road there when they failed to flee a single dhaerow female who passed that way. Why exactly she permitted them to keep their lives, well, that's a puzzle, it is.
