Swing rope - Gullykin Crypt

Unread post by Mork »

There is something wrong with Gullykin Crypt "Swing Rope" Script. Both ropes - one inside and
outside the crypt almost always cause failed attempt and dmg to my character.
I've never had this kind of problem anywhere where such mechanic is implemented.
My character is expic dex/tumble halfling wearing padded armor. She could potentially do a circus tricks involving some extreame acrobatics but for some reason has a problem when it somes to "swinging a rope". If someone could take a look at this script and correct it - it seems that check is not connected to the right skill.

Edit:
Also there is in that crypt "Climb Wall" check that my char failed.

Yep it checks strength. Don't ask me, also it's better if you aren't holding things (but at least that makes sense).

14 str 30 dex 40+ tumble and failed attempt like 8 times while not holding anything.
Feels wrong for a mid-level area.

I've raised this same issue before. My halfling with 16 Str has the same problem. Once I failed to cross after 12 straight attempts and losing 90% of HP.

I can remember dying there several times due to that stupid rope

I'll take a look at it though iirc it was a straight pnp check... either way I'll make it a tad more playable.

This will be modified in next update, one advice though : kill the skeletons on the other side first :D

And if you can fix that 'climb wall' check down there - so you don't fall up the wall on a failed roll :?
