Background: Having born and raised in athkatla, Drake was the eldest child of four and disregarded his own family as he grew up,

His father Markos being a member of the cowled wizards often flaunted within the home of the power he wielded and reveled that he considered himself above the law.

His mother Helena was but a simple artist whom took please in the smaller parts of life and had grown apart from drakes father.

Growing up drake witnessed the goading that his father took over his mother, Remarking her as simple and scoffed at the stupid notion of her ideology.

Drake was always interested in both parents affairs and was often encouraged by Helena to explore and create. Markos however often instructed Markos to "Never" explore the Arcane as the "Reprobates and Scum" follow this path. This constant lecturing caused Drake to spend much time with Helena and her Artistry in all of its forms. Otherwise he would be roaming Waukeens promenade and consort to petty thievery, Blackmailing his friends to perform deeds for him and make note on which methods were better.

His other brothers were young and were often a blur to him in his memories.

As the years passed, Drake would hear screams in the house belonging to his mother as the sullen voice of his father return. Those screams still haunt him to this day.

As he returned one night from the promenade after discussing a minor plan to steal items from a merchant his parents door was ajar, As he walked in he could smell rust, A charged tinge in the air and crimson red is splattered on the walls.

The choked gurgles act as a beacon to break the night silence and the charged air seems to quell, The broken body of Helena is impaled on the wall, Limped and burned as unseen energy kept the macabre sight in place.

Cowled and panting, Stood the visage of his father, Anger seeping from the robed figure in uniform of the cowled wizards with hands outstretched towards the only pleasured memories that drake holds. His mother.

As if slowed in time, Drake's anger rose silently and withdrew his ebony dagger made for him after winning a bet of distracting two guards with Mage hand and light spells.. Drawing it slowly he lurches as he hears the growls of his murderous father, The blade swipes from behind. His neck severs and blood sprays across the whole main room, Covering the whole area including him as his anger sank his blade deeper into his fathers flowing neck.

A single blink and crimson vision is all that is seen. Next is the streets of athkatla and his own panting in the dead night tinted with the blood in his eyes.

Athkatla became a dream as he looked backwards and seen the lantern candles becoming more distant and the wilderness encompassing him.. It is there where he started his journey which took him on many experiences for years until he arrived into the Sword Coast.
