When good fortune eludes like unreached star,
And days toss bad in seas of miseries,
When safety of the shore looms much too far,
And truth when searched involves more mysteries;
As such I face the harshness of the world,
With not a soft spot left whereon to rest,
When all to me, its vagaries unfurled,
Whereas I've thought that all the while I'm blest;
But only while with you did I acquire
This pleasant, most rewarding change of luck,
As love between our hearts would still transpire
Amid unmerciful events that struck;
A calm that in the eye of storm is found,
A feast that's spread for me with foes around.
