The clothing and armor pack being discussed in another thread has over two hundred hairstyles for both men and women. Unfortunately, the polygon count on them is extremely high (about... nine times higher what is viable with large clipping issues) and would likely affect the stability of the server without serious work. A shame, too, as there's some really cute styles in there.

I have another weird idea as I would like to have one of the new hair models, too. This would work without access to .bics even.

It don't know how much time the DMs might have. But imagine a player does rcr and a DM who is just online would note the players current XP before rcr. If the player is done and has the hairstyle and everything he wants. Then the DM would give him back the missing XP.

That could also be limited to maybe once per account. Would that be possible?

Not a idea we should employ. DM time is better spent on storytelling, lore, than handling special requests.

MDLs have little bearing on the server, it'd be a client stability / renderer issue.

Then I reached the end of my ideas. I mean there is obviously a market for a barber and hairstyle changes without 50% XP loss at higher levels. I'm as it seems not the only player who is interested.

At least one change by bic with a dummy or a proper barber would be nice. No way possible to help the change willing players?

It'll be viable in game without any change to the character except the hair, but not immediately. I wrote an external process that handles the bic when the character is booted on approval of the hair selection, but the link between in game and the external process is not yet made (CLR requisite). September timeframe is likely.

Ah, as a not native english speaking player another dumb question. What does "not for the next few months" mean? Could it take several months or how long?

Yes, I looked at those that are in. It's just that I would be happy about a way to change the hair without loosing so much xp. :)

What about a brief window of 100% RcR when the last of them make it in. Say, 24hrs?

Not everyone can access that timeframe, i'd rather the approach be as fair as possible, as broad to the community as possible the first time.

Two consecutive weekends should be workable, no?

Id give people a few weeks to prepare, then let it run for 1-2 weeks. Then there is the span of a month for prep and planning, as 100 rcr dont come around often. Also maybe line it up after overhauling patches that fiddle with popular mechanics. Even those who are unavailable can set up that freinds can rcr -for them-. Perhaps useing skype etc.
