Help Requested: Archer Build

I'm very new to NWN2 RP and the game is only vaguely familiar to me, I was wondering if someone with experience can help me formulate a good archer build. I am wanting to maintain a neutral or good alignment, and was looking particularly at the Order of the Bow Initiate class?

As a player with an OOBI char (I'm currently running a Rogue 17/SD 3/ OOBI 10 that is underwhelming because OOBI is broken): don't use it just yet. The class' capstone feature, Precision Damage, hasn't been working consistently since it was 'revamped' last March and despite recent modifications to the script last month, I still don't think it is working as it should be and as much as I wish it were completely overhauled (again), I'm aware that is a huge dev timesink and will probably never happen.

If you're happy to play an elf/halfelf then fighter 8/elemental archer 4/assassin 9/arcane archer 9 is your go-to dps/hips archer build.

If OOBI is ever fixed, Bard 7/EA 4/ AA 9/ OOBI 10 could be interesting, and I've also considered an air genasai fighter6/ea4/assassin10/oobi 10.

And you can always go Ranger 30, or 26/4 fighter, or 21/9 assassin (archery style; any race). Solid build & class on BGTSCC.

i feel like oobi is a solid enough class if used in the correct build. i have a wood elf F8/R7/OOBI10/EA5 and it hits harder has better AC better AB than all the other archer builds. its not a glass cannon in that with UMD you can get your AC 45-50 or higher with displacement and mirror. the major weakness of this build is will save. but this build will slay... hard. know your enemies and utilize positioning. totally soloable to 30... fast.

PS: like many others this build is very gear dependent though. and it can be expensive, but making money is pretty easy on the build too.

Don't you still find OOBI precision damage to be bugged though, Aaron? I frequently fail to get the bonus damage to apply on the first flurry of attacks during the round, and the bonus damage will also time out if my character makes a dodge animation (ie the Sharpshooting damage bonus only lasts about ~2-3 seconds from the time you make your first concentration check to apply it), despite the fact that OOBI 10 is supposed to get Ranged Precision damage to all their attacks if they pass the concentration check.

I'm still very underwhelmed with the class for that reason (and, as a rogue archer, that first flurry needs to land some serious damage, which it currently rarely does).

Works really great. A bit difficult to solo the caster bosses because of the will save, but otherwise quite survivable. With IMA and shield scroll sitting on AC 48.

i get my ranged precision to appear to activate. i have not really done the math on my hits, but i still roll my checks.
