Soubar and 'Jann'

Unread post by RagingPeace »

I was making my way through Soubar, where I suddenly walked into a battlefield. All the NPCs were killing another NPC named 'Jann'. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, but figured I would post it here, in case it wasn't.

Strange. I guess an invisible player must have been there then, playing with the NPCs. Didn't see anyone on scry though, might have been hidden I suppose.

Actually, anyone with the Thaumaturge PRC will leave their planar cohort behind (permanently) if they log off. More likely that this was the case. I've had to clean up a few planar cohorts left around the UD from time to time. Dispel magic usually works.

That bug should be fixed at next update.

If the Jann is fighting NPCs, then the caster has probably had an accident with a bigby or something and just logged out, leaving his poor Jann to take the heat.

Those summons should have a name in the description which should point at the summoner like the props.

How I hate litterer of any kind. :)

saw a similar thing last night with one of those sand summons getting mobbed by trolls. the summon was eventually killed. there did not appear to be anyone in the vicinity that was tied to the summon.

Whoops.

This might have been me, but NPCs weren't hostile to me when I logged off for any reason (this time) and I wasn't aware of the cohort issue. I had just come back from testing a few things but bigby and wall spells weren't among them.

I will dismiss before logging until the update.

Darn wizards and their irresponsible magic.

A summon left behind shouldn't just turn hostile towards NPCs for no reason. Something else happened there I think :P

But it's always good practice to throw out your litter before leaving!
