A female hin, in what is barely more than peasant's rags, approaches the stand and overhears the talk of the boots.

"Oy, all the 'ells alive, those are a right fine pair a boots! Worth more'n this sack is offerin'. I double 'is bid. Call it four thousand coin."

Finn would scowl momentarily at the Hin's words, but quickly recover his painted on smile as he turns to Thevor.

"I couldn't possibly allow such as this to best me, Waukeen be praised, but that would be tragedy! I will increase my bid to double her's in turn... 8,000 coin for the boots, sir."

The hin frowns.

"Nine thou'and coin, then."

She tries to make eye contact with Finn. If successful she tries to draw a finger across her neck as subtly as possible, a scowl clearly present.

Finn would look down at her and make full eye contact. From beneath the shadow of his cowl, cat-like yellow eyes would flash at the hin. When she makes the motion, drawing her finger across her neck with a scowl on her face, a smile would slowly spread across his face, quickly masked in to a look of utter disbelief. He would then look back to Thevor...

"Well now... I wouldn't want to make any enemies, such is not the way for honest trade to flow, yes? I will concede to the...lady"

He would turn on his heel and seemingly wander off to other parts.

Thevor chuckles at the two as they compete for highest bid. "You have the highest bid, but I would prefer if you didn't threaten other potential customers, miss," he interjects as the halfling makes her throat-cutting gesture, offering a polite smile.

He also goes on to add another, new item to the top of his list. This one seems to be extra valuable.
