Orginal by Gudulett-e - drowified.

Name: Imyvor Vesche
Race: Drow.
Alignment: Lawful Evil.
Profession: Wizard.
Base Class & Proposed Development: [Redacted.]
School Specialization: Conjuration.
Opposition school: Necromancy.
Age: 127.
Birthdate: 17 Uktar, 1225 DR, Year of the Winged Worm.
Starsign:The Serpent. (Although drow likely pay little mind to starsigns!)
Birthplace: Karsoluthiyl if asked.
Height 142 cm - 4'8.
Weight: 37kg - 82 pounds.
General Health: Good.
Eyes: Light blue.
Hair: Pale blond.
Skin: Onyx.
Handedness: Right.
Posture: Straight and guarded.
Hygiene: Bathes regularly and prefers the use of exotic oils.
Voice: Smooth and pleasant sounding, easy on the ears. Foreign accent to Sshamath.

Languages:
[Common - Not actually known by Imyvor as common derieves from a pidgin Chondathan/overall language group of Thorass. Thorass alphabet.]
Undercommon - Proficient. Botched Espruar alphabet.
Drow - Proficient. Botched Espruar alphabet.
Drow sign - Proficient.
Elven - Elementary. An elf may have some difficulty understanding Imyvor due to heavy drow influence. Espruar alphabet.
Arcane - Advanced. As a wizard, Imyvor makes use of Arcane when storing spells and magical knowledge but he does not have mastery of this very complex language. No particular alphabet.
Draconic - Proficient. Only another dragon would be able to tell that Imyvor's dialect in Draconic must have come from a shadow dragon. Iokharic alphabet.
Aragrakh - Proficient. Also known as Old High Wyrm. Imyvor's knowledge of this language is generally kept secret due to the risk of being found and killed by a dragon. Learned due to scholary interests and too much time. Iokharic alphabet.
Celestial - Advanced. Imyvor sounds very stiff when speaking this language, the written form comes much easier for him. Celestial alphabet.
Abyssal - Advanced. The chaotic undercurrents have been a frustrating obstacle for Imyvor. He favours Abyssal in writing when it comes to less defined topics where a looser track of thought is desired. Infernal alphabet.
Infernal - Advanced. Imyvor knows the language well enough to the second caste. He prefers the language to write down research and clearer lines of thought, which are not governed by emotions. Infernal alphabet.
Jannti - Advanced. Language of the genies. The heavy influence of elemental languages has furthered Imyvor's understanding of the elemental tongues but he favours Jannti over them. Jannti serves as a common tongue for all genie-kind. If written, Imyvor prefers the Iokharic alphabet.
Auran - Intermediate. A relaxed, breathy language likened to a slow exhale of air. Iokharic alphabet.
Ignan - Intermediate. Sharp, hissing and clicking sounds. Iokharic alphabet.

Patron Deity: Vhaeraun
While Imyvor is more concerned about drow in the Underdark than creating a life for drow in the Night Above, it is the faith Imyvor was surrounded by while growing up. Imyvor is taken by the Vhaeraunite ideal of uniting the drow race instead of being stuck in a vicious circle of warring practises, realizing the power unity would bring to the whole drow race. He therefore will not treat drow females differently - unless they give him cause to. He dislikes objectification of females instead of staying true to the Vhaeraunite goal of equality between males and females. He does not quite agree on that an all out war is needed to be rid of Lloth, instead preferring subterfuge. He still considers that the drow need to be saved from Lloth, which is something that he will work towards.

Other Venerated Deities:
Gargauth:
Imyvor came into touch with the worship of this largely unknown demigod through his contact with evil outsiders. While many drow might already think that "Life is all about the accumulation of power.", Imyvor is intrigued by the idea that Gargauth supports personal power - and indirect power. He himself finds that drow can become impatient, overambitious and too aggressive, which often leads to too much chaotic conflict and of course the demise of the drow in question. Imyvor is content to bide his time and connect strings to the right people, acting more discreetly. He considers his faith in Gargauth to mesh well with Vhaeraun and almost sees it as a less chaotic way to achieve being rid of Lloth's influence and unite the drow as a race. Despite this, he is more loyal to Vhaeraun due to Vhaeraun directly caring about the drow race.
Shar:
Due to his interests of the Plane of Shadow, and Shar's power over darkness, Imyvor venerates her mildly out of respect. Imyvor himself does not embrace hatred or jealousy - he believes they make people blind. Yet whether he readily wants to admit it or not, he does keep a book of grudges. Quietly biding for the right moment to make a move.
Dispater:
While Imyvor does not quite revere Dispater as a deity, he certainly recognizes the power this Archdevil wields. His bound brachina, Frivari, has spoken much of her superior, the Iron Duke, the Lord of the Second. He is the picture of caution and careful thought. No matter the situation, Dispater always keeps a veneer of calm, gentlemanly manners - never showing anger or contempt, making him appear rather charming (and all the more dangerous). His plans are far-reaching, taking generations to come to fruition. He is not a craven, frightened fiend who grasps at power out of fear of losing it. He is allied with Mephistopheles, with whom he shares a hatred for Baalzebul. His symbol is a black iron tower on a red field, and he is often masking as a deity of war and intrigue. He knows the political games of the Nine Hells, and he's one of the best players. Dispater has a finger in everything, even on Toril. He is commonly revered for his unassailable and indestructible nature, although Imyvor is taken by Dispater's caution and careful thought.

Appearance:
Imyvor moves with grace that is typical of drow. Long locks of pale, smooth blond hair, blond eyebrows and light blue eyes suggest that Imyvor is likely closer related to surface elves than other drow might be. It certainly makes his appearance quite eye-catching. When his ears peek through his hair, several golden earrings can be seen. His skin is a typical drow onyx hue. His fingernails are stained black and allowed to grow to certain length. Several rings are set on his long, slender fingers.

High cheekbones gives Imyvor a regal appearance, and his pale eyes give the illusion of always being awake and alert. His face is narrow, the nose and chin prominent. The nose is elegant, ending in a sharp sculpted tip. His chin sticks out a little - adding interest to a face which might otherwise be seen as too pretty. His lips are full, with a secretive smile often present. His teeth are white, the gums a dark purple-red.

Items of Note:
Staff of Shadow Wyrm: [DM Soulcatcher] Darkness appears to dance around this staff, which depicts a dragon with its jaw opened, giving the impression of wanting to eat anything in front of it. When Imyvor wields it, he can hear shadows softly whispering to him of secrets of some planar creatures, and how to better persuade them into service. The staff has an ability which allows Imyvor to dismiss it into a cloud of brief darkness, and recall it back into his hand in like manner.
Staff of the Magi: Given to Imyvor by Wirg as a symbol of power, when the orc made his intentions known of wanting to see the drow become the leader of Bregan D'aerthe. Staves of this kind are rare and very powerful. There are accounts of mages using a Staff of the Magi against overwhelming odds, by breaking or shattering the staff - killing their opponent in the process but also themselves. A few are said to have been flung to another plane of existence instead of being obliterated. The staff functions by attuning itself to its wielder and by mental command words. It emits a strong aura from all schools of magic. Blue magical flames lick around the staff.
A brain in a jar: [DM Hera] While challenging a svirfneblin merchant who claimed the brain was magical and attempted to sell it for an outrageous sum, Imyvor determined that it was not magical at all and threatened the merchant who he considered was giving a bad name to mages (who are the ones creating magical items in the first place). He acquired the brain in a leaking jar, watching the merchant run off. For no particular reason, the brain was relocated to a sealed jar and kept by Imyvor on his work desk.
A petrified carnation flower: Originally the carnation was yellow and orange, with a scent. The stone form does not capture the original beauty, or scent, but it does prevent it from wilting.
Various other magical items: Most of which enhance Imyvor's magical capabilities.
Spellbook: Made from cloaker hide, the covers are swirling with shadows.

Personality Profile:
Imyvor has adopted a pragmatic view in reaching what he achieves for. He recognizes that many of the long term goals are quite idealistic and does not get lost in the dreams of what he could have. Instead he looks to what there is and uses the tools that are available to him right now. He has a patient outlook to most things and does not mind waiting for his plans to work, preferring a slower but more careful approach due to higher chance of success. He greatly dislikes being rushed.

He is ambitious and strives to hold on to power, in order to have a better chance of achieving what he thinks is right. Honeyed words are his preferred means to influence others but he also has a more ruthless side that shines through every now and then. He has little time for people who outright dismiss him and focuses his efforts on those he knows he can reach, and who might have something to gain from cooperation. Like most drow, Imyvor is paranoid and well aware of that life can end very abruptly. It does not get in the way of cooperating with others but he is always on his guard.

Not unusually for a drow, Imyvor has seen many brutalities by drow and others. This has resulted in him largely having become numb and uncaring to it. A particular event had longer lasting effects which made it difficult for the drow mage to ingest meat. He is not prone to over-brutality himself but has little respect for the lives of those he has no care for. If evil outsiders require souls to do business, those souls will be provided.

He has difficulties with emotional attachments, and with being in touch with his own emotions. Abstract magic is far easier to understand and study than abstract emotions. Imyvor has also become quite desensitized when feeling fear. It does not mean he can not feel it but it would take something remarkable to make him shiver. The de-sensitiveness makes it easier for him to set aside any hesitations when it comes to seeking out more dangerous lore but he is still concerned about his own self-preservation if danger is imminent.

Habits and Quirks:
-Uses oils both to wash and scent himself with.
-Is a vegetarian. Particularly enjoys mushrooms.

Weaknesses and Flaws:
-Thinking that others are incompetent, too quickly.
-Letting his more aggressive drow nature out, risking to lose track of his true goals.

View of Others: Imyvor is more likely to actually stop and listen to non-drow, due to his experiences of dealing with all sorts of outsiders. He has become more uncaring of the visual aspect of an individual. If he can use someone to further his own goals and ambitions, he will make use of that opportunity. This approach may set him aside from some within the church of Vhaeraun, as well as other drow. He does not consider that the drow race is at a stage yet where other races can be ignored. Despite this, Imyvor of course considers drow to be superior.

Hobbies:
-Carrying out various magical experiments.
-Thinking of the creation of new spells.

Other Skills:
-Smooth talker - when he wants to be.
-Knows the names of numerous outsiders, which can be called upon.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
[Redacted.]
[Redacted.]
Favours: Outsiders of all kinds and other planar travellers might seek Imyvor to ask him to return a favour, after providing aid in exchange for a promise. Imyvor would be bound to answer it. Likewise, Imyvor has outstanding favours among some planar creatures he too can call upon.

Mage Rune:
Personal possessions of any note all carry an Arcane Mark on them. Letters also always carry this mage rune. It depicts Imyvor's initials (I, V) in the Iokharic alphabet, sitting on top of a W.

Outsiders in Service:

[These write-ups reflect abilities relevant to forum RP. If encountered IG, they have whatever abilities on their sheets and however often the AI decides to fire them off. The idea is to have some fun RP for anyone interacting with these, not to gain any advantages.]

Xaam
Imp (devil)

Alignment: LE
Height: ~2 feet

Abilities:
Invisibility - Self only, this is used as an escape tactic.

Languages: Common, Undercommon, Infernal

Serving: Mephistopheles, Lord of the Eight, the Cold Lord, the Lord of no Mercy

Xaam appears as a small humanoid with leathery wings and skin. His tail is barbed. The legs and arms are skinny, with taloned hands. The face bears some canine similarity and his ears are floppy. His mouth has a row of yellow, sharp teeth. Sometimes the forked tongue can be seen. A pair of horns adorns his head.

He is usually tasked with ensuring that Imyvor's office in Bregan D'aerthe is safe and that no one goes snooping around there without Imyvor's knowledge. The names of all who read any of the available reports are always told to Imyvor. Since Xaam does not need to eat or sleep, he is always in the office unless directly dismissed or ordered otherwise by Imyvor - he will not acknowledge anyone else's orders. Should anyone else try to order him, he sometimes carries out the task but in a fashion that will bring consequences to the person giving the order. If someone tries to harm him, he will try to turn invisible and escape through the one-way Gate within the office. He never stays to fight.

Xaam has a nervous personality while still being quite the opportunist and prankster. His ambition is to be promoted as a devil but his current work does not give him many opportunities to corrupt mortals. Drow society is after all, quite evil already.

The imp is always conscious of his long line of superiors and knows that to them, he is insignificant. As an imp, Xaam is not allowed to negotiate Faustian pacts. Souls he corrupts however, still counts towards his own advancement.

His other tasks are copying texts from books and deliveries of letters etc.

Frivari
Brachina (pleasure devil)

Alignment: LE
Height: ~5 feet

Abilities:
Greater Teleport - Self only and limited carry capacity
Polymorph
Plane Shift - Self only, 1/day.
Trap the Soul
Tongues - Always active

Serving: Dispater, Lord of the Second, the Iron Duke of Dis.

Frivari's true form is that of a female human-like figure with long hair and violet, near black coloured eyes. Black feathery wings emerge from her back. Her form can shift however, and sometimes she chooses to appear without the wings - and sometimes as a drow, to better blend into society. In fact, she can take on the form of whatever her target finds appealing - True Seeing will reveal her true form. She is always dressed in revealing clothes, with an inviting smile. Overall, she is very alluring but there is a hint of something sinister about her.

She is the longest serving of outsiders Imyvor has bound or has other agreements with and appears to be rather content to serve him. It would be easy to assume that she is even fond of the male drow. In the past, she has served as Imyvor's lover but not in the recent couple of decades. It irks her that he will not take her as a lover again. She occasionally tries to tempt him but knows to not push the boundaries too much.

The contract signed between them is one of mutual benefit and if asked, Frivari says so but reveals no other details. She is often tasked to bargain with other devils in Imyvor's stead in the Nine Hells and overall, allowed a large amount of freedom on Toril. There are some restrictions and she has to comply with what Imyvor explicitly orders.

Frivari is typically tasked to negotiate with other outsiders to find treasures, with a certain amount allocated to herself. While she does bargains for Imyvor, she is also gathering information for herself and building up her own network of allies in order to gain more power.

Frivari is able to negotiate Faustian pacts but does not go out of her way to accomplish it. In fact, she seems rather content to act as a go-between several parties, even finding it amusing and claiming it is more exciting than her tasks on Dis (where she would be subject to brutal treatment from those more superior than her). Being quite content with her station, Frivari does not want to rise and lose the benefits of her brachina form. Typically a brachina would corrupt the goodly clerics and paladins of the gods.

As a brachina, she relishes pleasure. She has a selfish need for love and affection but they take on a twisted form. Like all devils, she enjoys the misery of others be it physical or mental and often teases those taking a liking to her, causing them anguish. If Frivari is humiliated she will pursue vengeance whenever possible.
