Mudds Auctioner - Max 3 items per person in consignment shop

Does:
Max 3 items per person in consignment shop
means it's per player or per character?

There seems to be something very bugged in auction shop.
Since like a week I had on all characters message displayed that said I already have used all auction slots used (something about weight?)
Yet I know there were no items auctioned at that moment by any of my characters.
Today I've clicked "Retrive button" to be sure on all my characters - nothing popped out (after a week of not being able to use IG Auctioner) yet somehow suddenly my slots got cleared and I've managed to put 4 items on auction. Not sure if I could do more but I remember sometimes putting 5.
Number that counts items in auction seems to be randomized. Sometimes allowing you put more than 3 items and sometimes won't let you put one.

it's 3 items per armor,weapon,misc,..... category and for each of your chars.

It it's per character it means something is surely wrong. I couldn't put anything to auction after freshly creating this char after mutliple attempts of putting things in different categories. I tried every couple days until It fixed itself like today and suddenly I can auction stuff. Could it potentially be related to disguise system? Although I had nothing posted in auction by any of my characters at the time.

Ahh I think it was that. I remember number 60 being in the message. I had no idea there is total limit of 60 per category. Can't it get increased? It seems that's what was causing a blockade over whole week when I've tried to sell anything. Each time I've tried on different times of the day and it was clogged.

Well, we do have a lot more players these days and you need to account for all the junk that gets thrown on there...Not sure if increasing the max would impact server performance though.

Sorry to post it as a bug cause I had no idea there was a limit per category.
But even if it is not a bug it still remains an issue. Over last week I've tried to sell something like 10 times and got the message each time. It can potentially even lead to people selling trash just so it gets bought by someone wanting to sell something for real just to free the space. Surely some kind of action should be taken. Perhaps making minimum bid 10k and minimum fee 1k? Not sure how to fix it.

I would absolutely agree to this Mork. Based on where we are with the server the Auctioneer really shouldn't accept +1 items (unless they have extra's like bonus damage, protections, etc.) Maybe we could increase the minimum value of the items which can be placed on the auction house to avoid clogging it with items that no one is going to buy (unless they are doing so to clear space, which I agree some players obviously exploit to get some small amount of gold for junk that they would likely get nearly as much by just selling to Thunderhammer).

Not sure what is involved in modifying the KEMO Auction details, but by increasing the minimum valuable of items eligible for the auction it would be a bit less cluttered and would push people to sell junk to NPC vendor rather than make other players scroll through randomly named items that are worthless.

possibly limit the amount of stuff to sell to like 4/acct would make people prioritize what they sell as well. that is not an unreasonable limitation to selling. and this comes from someone who often has loot/sell/loot/sell moments.

On the other hand new adventures (players) really like it, if they can get a cheap +1 item here.

Over the years the auction was always full, as many new players join the server and try to sell junk.
Usually the players learn sooner or later what is worth auctioning.

And it's nothing wrong if 'older' players buy a cheap item from mudd only to make room for their 'real' treasure.

If anything the often completely wrong appraise attempt from mudd should be disabled.
Would love to see spellresistance items allowed again.

As for the completely wrong appraise it still gives compeltely new player a small idea of an item's worth so I would keep it, it was quite useful for me at start.

That is nothing else than trolling if done consciously. I'd even suspect it can potentially be work of our "hacker" or other player hurt by staff just to troll around.

Nope, this has happened for years when periods of high activity occur. Some Players will post their 'junk' to get an extra couple hundred gold by making it the cheapest item available on a nearly full list. That way when it hits 60 items some other player will buy their ~1,800-2,500 gold item so they can post something else. I have done it before (purchased the junk, not posted it) though I don't do it anymore because it rewards the wrong behavior (IMO).

before the bank. i too bought the cheap item to post what i either wanted or needed to sell. now that the bank exists i can be more patient.

ex. i have a +3 plate on my low str toon. i CANNOT carry it so i would by the cheapest item so i could offload the heavy plate.

Slightly off topic (sorry!) but why were spell resistance items disallowed from the consignment shop?
