Barbarian Rage

Unread post by clean_slate »

So I've heard Barbarian's rage has been changed again, can someone please verify?

And while we're at it, can someone recommend me a good build for a Dwarf or an Elf barbarian? No FB or Battlerager please.

Thanks.

Look at the Barbarian class as changes are listed there.

Don't take this the wrong way guys, but you should really be prompt in documenting the mechanical changes. I know you have your hands full with testings and everything, but IMHO it is of vital importance that playerbase has a reliable, easily accessible, updated and 100% correct base of information regarding the mechanics of the game. Players need quality information in order to plan their characters in which they choose to invest their free time.

I think that server has by far the best balance (both PvE and PvP) out of all NWN2 servers out there, and that is a feat worthy of admiration (for someone like me this is very important) so you should really round things up because updating wiki is the easiest part, but equally important in the grand scheme of things.

In a standard business model release notes would be well documented and provided to a separate team (release management and training) to then deliver to the business users. We do not have such a large staff and what we do have has other responsibilities. Chambordini and I are the ones currently that update the forums, but frankly I've been rather busy the past couple months and if I am being honest, the time I've had to spend in any decent amount I have been in game playing and testing.

While I agree with you that in a perfect world everything being updated would be of paramount importance, there is frankly so much that goes in which we aren't aware of. Releases happen fairly often and many of the changes might be from discussions months prior that took more time to develop. It would be impossible to track every update that goes in to a specific release back to given conversations, especially when I have no access to various forums or whatever development tracking software they use.

Regardless, as I said, you do have a point Alfarin, it's more just a situation of prioritization of the time available.

In fact anyone can read the release notes and update the wiki accordingly, even though I agree that is quite a bother ... but that's the case for everyone :P

Thxs Val, i knew it was hidden somewhere :?
Standard Rage :
Remove the AC penalty.
Add an effect to heal you if the CON loss makes you go below 0 HP.
Bonus damage 2/3/4/5
Regen 1 for rage and greater rage, regen 2 for mighty and epic rage

----
Rage (Whirlwind Frenzy) applies a -2 AC penalty when a shield is equipped.

Does a Whirlwind Barb. still get this, even as he gets evasion later anyway. ?

Does anyone know if the Barbarian feats "Extend Rage" and "Extra Rage" stack with Items which grant these feats? Or is there some weird interaction like the dwarven battlerager "Extended Rage"?

Extend Rage I-IV will not stack with items as the items give the specific feat. So if you have an item that grants Extend Rage I and you also have taken Extend Rage I as a feat you are only gaining the benefits once. Same with Extra Rage.

So can someone clarify, is this change in?
