For a long time issues with Atari and Hasbro made Mysteries of Westgate not appear for sale. Thus there are a LOT of players who don't have that module included in their NWN2 installation. Any content from MoW that was included would cause issues for anyone that does not have it, but I suppose it is no different than the Cloakwood Mines where we have a notice stating that SoZ is required for that area.

They could simply be packed into the module assets in any case, though I don't know of any area where it would be appropriate to spawn these anyway? It's not like we have water combat.

Island off Ulgoth's Beard... You go back to the row boat after collecting some berries and "Oh noes!!! There is a giant monster between me and the row boat!!!"

I have had to sprint back to the row boat before in grave danger and that is a hilarious add on to that memory. ***Laughing in real life***
When I was HDM, I got in contact with the Studio that made Mysteries of Westgate, and they gave us (well, Luna), their creature models for us on BGTSCC.
I can't really say what Luna did with them, but I think a few creatures got included (from their pack)

I thought that sewer areas, small ponds and lakes etc. could suit a miniature varriant of these, with like a spit attack. Think... Diablo 2's "water watchers" as an example.
Give them xDx eldrich blast and the ability to spawn from pits, lakes and other inaccessible. Drop no loot and just be exp-mobs ^^. Then beef them up if you wan't sea-varriants for DM events
Mysteries of Westgate? So you cannot buy it anywhere I guess?
