It's not always easy to gather a party, but yeah you're right. This isn't a thread to make warriors solo everything, it's just a place to find advice for what can help you as a warrior type, without losing all your gold.

#1 piece of advice for any fighter/M@A build is to include Anointed Knight or Warrior of Darkness in your build, possibly Divine Champion in some cases. Getting both Fortitude and Will saves to the ~mid 20's to mid 30's alongside Steadfast Determination is huge. Take some feats to improve your AC (LoH, Greater Heavy Armor Optimization, Armor Skin) and try to make a build that can get to 50 AC or higher in full defense mode. At level 24 my Thayan Knight can reach ~49 AC and has ~23 Will saves, 18 Reflex and 29 Fortitude by mixing WoD and Blackguard. The issue with many fighter builds is they focus so heavily on getting as much damage as possible they completely disregard saves and AC, leading to having a very expensive cost to mitigate their weaknesses. Certainly you can err in the other direction by ending up with mid 60's AC, sky high saves, but have damage so low you can't cut through Epic Mob DR and it takes 10 minutes to kill one enemy. It is important to consider your build plan and come up with a balance between offense and defense if you want to have lower expenses. Instead of taking Weapon Master and Frenzied Berzerker, pick one or the other. That leaves 2 open classes to pick up improvements to saves and/or AC. Dervish grants bonuses to AC which can help, for example while still giving some damage and other flavor. If you go after building to hit 300+ damage crits you are likely going to be frustrated with your ability to stay alive in order to continue delivering those damage numbers.RagingPeace wrote:It's not always easy to gather a party, but yeah you're right. To give some additional input on tactic how to solo with a fighter: Walk between encounters. Don't run around like crazy. Your regen cloak will do the rest for you. And you have a higher chance of spotting traps on the ground. That way I almost never have to rest with my fighter and don't have to rely much on usable items (but I still do to speed things up). Only if things get hard or the mob is throwing a large amount of natural 20s at me.
