A masked Faern is seen speaking to a messenger handing over some gold to deliver a message.
One letter, with a bright red wax seal with no mark, is sent to the stonestave, along with the customary bribe.
Other letters are posted around the boards of Sshamath.
[parchment]19th Cycle of the Flameruleth turning, progression 4225 since the founding of the Conclave.
Esteemed Conclave of the City,
Masters of the schools of magic,
of the founding house S'shamath,
of the web of the Spider Queen,
and of the 7th Circle,
Usstan implore the conclave to further secure our borders. Just recently, 60 miles away in Kro's Labrynth, Usstan have seen it with my own eyes, a kivvil rivvil group armed with halberds, with a white tabard covering their gear, patrolling close to our home. They have hostile intentions against the faernen of our city, and any illythiiri they can cause harm. The proof being that Usstan was attacked, without provocation, and luckily escaped with ussta life. The roads of the Zhentarim have only recently been opened, yet already, the surfacers militias march so close to our home. How much longer will dos let this go on? We need dost leadership now, more than ever.
What is our next move?

Re: A letter can be seen posted on the boards of Sshamath
Jarven meanders his way through the streets of Sshamath, humming a little tune to himself while simultaneously rummaging through one of his nigh overflowing satchels. He then pauses abruptly as he notices one of the boards in his peripheral vision. With a quick turn in his step, he waltzes over to see the latest proclamations and rumors - his golden eyes quickly resting upon one of the letters of the 'concerned faern'.
"What is our next move, indeed..." he muses aloud to himself, lightly biting his tongue.
He pulls one of the many letters off the board, rolls it up, and somehow manages to stuff it into his excessively brimming pack. Another tune quick to his lips, he then continues on his way to the School of Mages.

(( DM Spartacus got back to me..
Thanks,
Lisa
I think you can edit your posts and just change the nameDM Spartacus wrote:These were mine.
Setting to invincible was an error. (they were fortunately very low toughness but likely may have still caused a problem)
They were labelled Knights of the White Order. (Unrelated to OSR etc)
Thanks,
Lisa

A drow wearing a feathered hat approaches the poster boards and notices the parchment. Once reading Rivvil and Kivvil his facial expression shows an irritable look.
"Usstan swear...dos can try to warn as many as dos can about the ilbith that travel the Labyrinth, but only does it come to notice when an anonymous faern speaks..."

How long until our city lays in ruins at the hands of these invaders?, How long until our glorius city lays in ruin, trade destroyed, magic stolen? There are rumors of orcs, darthiir, and men who wish to plunder our city, and take away from the pride of our citizens if not our very lives. There are even Rivvil allied with darthiir wizards seeking to understand the magic of mythral defenses and to undermined its power, they seek allies within the city and those that embrace the surface world and their traitorous gods.

Citizens of S'shamath, do not be fooled by this false propaganda. It only serves one purpose and that is to distract from our real enemy. As the recent past has shown, those that oppose our great city are walking freely amongst us while they scheme our demise. It is no secret that a city ruled by males is a disgrace in the eyes of the spider. As you read this they plan to launch yet another attack. Will they succeed this time and force their fanatical beliefs upon us?

[parchment]Citizens of Sshamath,
I write now only because of the various letters being sent around in an attempt to blatantly subvert the Conclave's authority over Sshamath through false information and rumors.
Firstly, there are no 'Roads to the Zhentarim' that are opened. Basing your arguments around fictitious speculation and rumors is the same as taking the first step on the path to failure. Kro's Labyrinth is miles away through long, winding hard to reach maze-like tunnels. With there being so few entrances into Sshamath itself, spreading our forces beyond those is a massive waste of resources. This tale only accounts for one side of the story from an unnamed person. The testimony is as valuable as a jug of rothe piss.
Second, to those loyal members of the school of enchantment. As you admit, everything you write are but rumors. Perhaps I hold my expectations too high of our kind, but your writing strikes me as that of a paranoid conspiracy theorist. Unless you have solid evidence, your letter is as valuable as the other. You seek actions to be taken for your rumors, actions which would openly harm our trade and all we stand for. You sign yourself loyal to Sshamath, but I am forced to question it as I hope all reading this will too. I wonder what Malaggar Xarann would think of this course of action.
Lastly, if one can deliver honest and hard evidence of a true conspiracy you are urged to speak to Sut'trinos Sengo Vrinn of the Charnag Maelthra. He has served Sshamath with true loyalty and is best suited to determine which issues are true threats. Public displays like these are truly just propaganda.

Rlyd reads the long message, and his eyes begin to strain, squinting at the end he then waves his hands to make the words appear larger. He then smirks and walks away..Flasmix wrote:[parchment]Citizens of Sshamath,
