When does that RcR 100% period hit?

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
Maecius was pretty clear that their may be a 100% RCR period. Nothing was promised. The below post specifies that 100% RCR is in consideration and he was trying to be open with the community about that. The fact that this is taken as a certainty makes it something to consider as to why in the past admins and staff have been less willing to provide such details in advance. Food for thought, at least.

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
Don't worry the qc and dev cliques have just as much trouble adjusting as you guys do. More even as many suggestions and discussions never even reach the player base. Anything that gets decided as will happen is announced right away to everyone.
Regarding the RCR period, I have no doubt it will come with the evasion change, unless that change would happen to get cancelled for some reason. And I expect big changes like that will get their own dev/qc process at some point, hopefully as a predetermined announced date of change with expected change log.

Should I feel pressured...when QC gangs up on a reply to my comments?!?
Anyway...do one of you want to guess who wrote me the following quote?
I like you guys, but...jeez.

I guess I shouldn't read into the word "certain," right? Or, I should just outright forget anything that Staff says may or may not happen, since that would be like...some form of trust, right?What is certain is that there will be a short period (2-4 weeks) where 100% RCR is available if and when changes are made to Evasion and Expose Weakness.

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
If and when changes to Evasion/Improved Evasion are made.
Thus, if no changes are made, then no 100% RCR. I understand that logic.
However, if changes are made, then a CERTAIN 100% RCR period.
So, let's quote:
Thus, if no changes are made, then no 100% RCR. I understand that logic.
However, if changes are made, then a CERTAIN 100% RCR period.
So, let's quote:
Are you speaking outside of the context of changes being made, or not? Should I fix YOUR statement for you, being: "It is not 100% certain that there will be an 100% RCR...if the Server does NOT change Evasion/Imp. Evasion." Is this what you meant to write?mrm3ntalist wrote:It is not 100% certain that there will be an 100% RCR.

The if and when are in regards to evasion and expose weakness changes not an rcr period.

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
So what you read from steve's post is that there will be an RCR period and that there might be an evasion and EW change? I know my english are not good, but is that what it means?aaron22 wrote:The if and when are in regards to evasion and expose weakness changes not an rcr period.

It is not 100% certain that there will be an 100% RCR. Its simple as that. No "but" and no "ifs". Dont play the game with the idea that there will be one, nor pressure devs/admins about it.Steve wrote:If and when changes to Evasion/Improved Evasion are made.

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
Its not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. If the 100% RCR does not happen, because the changes were cancelled, or because the changes are tonned down and not worthy of an 100% rcr, or because something else is given in return, or whatever other reason, dont say "But you promised us".Wolfrayne wrote:I think this is a little out of hand now guys....

There might be but it is not a certainty. Dont play the game with the 100% RCR in mind.

Just to be clear. I support the evasion change and also support bring tight with 100% rcr. If I were staff. Which I am not and likely wouldn't be good if I were. I would only allow it for builds that have ew or are above level 15 with a clear path of utilizing the legal exploit using med or hvy armor.

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
Well excuse me Mr.!mrm3ntalist wrote: It is not 100% certain that there will be an 100% RCR. Its simple as that. No "but" and no "ifs". Dont play the game with the idea that there will be one, nor pressure devs/admins about it.
Because it WAS the admin that said it was 100% certain!
Obviously, this is no democracy, and, if the Admins want to do this or that, or say this or that then do that or this, I can do nothing about it.
Except, respond. In any way that a normal person would respond when the left hand say one thing, but the right hand says another. It was not "an idea" there would be one...I was TOLD there would be one. Now, perhaps, that was a misstatement on their part, and if they want to tell me so, I will accept it as such.
So perhaps, in order to enlighten us, maybe you can tell us why it is no longer 100% certain that the changes to Evasion should require a 100% RCR period along with those changes? Is there a reason behind the indecision?
Usually, I don't care. But like I wrote: when 2 different Staff members state with 100% certainty two very different views on the exact same subject...well...can you answer that, please?
See?!? Why didn't you write in your fist post, mate?!? That is exactly what I'm pointing out was 100% lacking when you wrote: "It is not 100% certain that there will be an 100% RCR."M#nt wrote:If the 100% RCR does not happen, because the changes were cancelled,

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
My head is spinning.
I understand now that a 100% RCR period is not guaranteed to happen. It may happen. Or it may not.
Followup question #1: Is it possible the evasion changes may not be implemented?
Followup question #2: Is it possible the evasion changes could be implemented without a 100% RCR period being offered?

What it says is thisWhat is certain is that there will be a short period (2-4 weeks) where 100% RCR is available if and when changes are made to Evasion and Expose Weakness.
#Define function Will100%RcRHappen(int nChanges)
if nChanges == 0
return false;
else if nChanges <50 // 50 being the rate that qualifies an RCR
return false;
else if nchanges >= 50
return true;
Its not just that the changes might be cancelled. You excluded half of my post. It could be that the changes are tonned down not qualifying for an RCR or something else could be given that will balance out theimpact of the changes.Steve wrote: M#nt wrote:

In short, the 100% rcr is not certain. Dont play the game with that in mind

Re: When does that RcR 100% period hit?
Actually i meant more to do with the way this is being handled... it would be easier to just say "Hey guys we are still not sure there will be 100% RCR we will let you know when we are closer to finishing the changes" and leave it at that rather than getting in to a "he said, She said" on the forum that is just going to leave a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.....mrm3ntalist wrote:Its not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing.
