I've been pondering taking the "Remove Curse" spell for my sorceress but have largely ignored it because you can easily buy remove curse scrolls from several stores. However, I recall from past experience on another server with a DM event that a curse can't be broken unless the caster level of the caster (or magic item) is greater than the caster level of the curse itself.
That means if an epic level mage cursed a person, the curse could only be broken by someone of equal or greater power. That also made "mundane" remove curse scrolls from the shops useless against high caster level curses. Does this also hold true on BG?

Mechanically? No, Remove Curse, Remove Disease, Remove All The Things, it all just makes the bad things go away regardless of CL or effect. RP wise I'm pretty sure you'll be told if you or a DM decide it does in a specific case and otherwise not.
"They're just furry and misunderstood."
"Is that why you are killing them?"
"Yes. They will atone in death."
"Ah. That will help them understand."

My Sorc10/EK10/DW10 with already limited spell slots due to needing buffs as a gish had remove curse.Daimondheart wrote:I've been pondering taking the "Remove Curse" spell for my sorceress but have largely ignored it because you can easily buy remove curse scrolls from several stores. Taking Remove curse won't cripple you if you think it fits the character!
