Barbarian help
I really want to play a barbarian, but seems like alot of builds use earth gensai. I would like to play a half orc, or gray orc on surface. Half orc gets alot of negatives compared to other fighter type friendly races. I'd like to get DR/- and Epic rage, but the class as itself is very feat starving and I know a fighter type needs to have over a certain amount of AB to be worth while. I am not interested in UMD as it doesn't play well into my RP. If I can help some help developing a build that's main focus is a barbarian.

Re: Barbarian help
too easy. a few nice choices to get everything you want. go starting stat line 19,11,18,6,10,6 on a full orc. go stat up con/str/str/con/con/str/str. builds will all go 20 barb then would recommend WoD10 taking the last two levels of WOD at 29 and 30. can go DC 10 taking last 6 at 25-30. can get your EDRs there with epic Rage. can go WoD5/OWD5. can go bear warrior10 or FB 10 for a really crazy SupIPA+Rage... dont forget to get Daylight Adaptation. you get bonus feats on Barb at 10 and 20. WW rage if you want to wield two handed and st. rage if you want a shield.

Re: Barbarian help
My one is I think barb26/fighter4 if I'm correct and is unbeaten in 1v1 PvP against any type of fighter char.
Barbarian by itself is a very powerful class now with the recent changes. And my one is a Half-Orc so it's completely viable.
Just PM me if you need any help but getting EDR + epic rage now is easy.
AB wouldn't be a problem at all with barb30/fighter4. Neither would be AC if you go whirling rage or whatever is called.
And with some vampiric regen weapon with DR15 you'll be pretty powerfull .

Standard Rage is a much better choice now, if you have high CON or are using a shield when raging.

Re: Barbarian help
two handing WW rage is still the better choice. you dont lose anything by taking standard with two handing, but WW is better.

What is better about the standard rage now ? Have it been changed ? I personally love the AC bonuses from WW and the extra attack at full AB. That attack makes a difference.Theodore01 wrote:Standard Rage is a much better choice now, if you have high CON or are using a shield when raging.

Re: Barbarian help
(Standard) Rage got better.
- no AC penalty anymore when raging.
- If CON loss causes HP to drop to zero or below upon Rage expiring an effect was added to heal the character.
- Bonus damage applied as 2/3/4/5 (Rage/Greater Rage/Mighty Rage/Epic Rage).
- Regen 1 for Rage/Greater Rage, increases to Regen 2 with Mighty/Epic Rage.
Whirlwind Frenzy was nerfed.
(Note that the Jun 02, 2017 Update implemented a -2 AC penalty while using a shield while under the effects of a Whirwind Frenzy.

Re: Barbarian help
the developers made standard better and nerfed WW a bit. but there was a HUGE disparity between the two before that. now (to the credit of the team) depending upon your build, they are near even in viability. If you are not using a shield and two handing. WW is better. flat out. taking standard rage on that build is self nerfing. if using a shield, Standard is better. taking WW while primarily using a shield is self nerfing.Theodore01 wrote:(Standard) Rage got better.
