Aska was in for a surprise today as she stopped by Blunt's stall near the farmlands. The poor man had apparently been the target of a mischievous mage. Only Blunt could possibly tell who might have done this to him.

Aska was in for another shock as she turned around and found another unfortunate victim.

And another.

And even two of the guards.

A quick jog around the area revealed these poor men were the only souls to have been afflicted. It almost seemed to be like a trail leading into the graveyard. This called for an investigation.

After calling on her trusty friend, Caelyn, the duo begin to investigate the graveyard.

Hidden: show

Lot's of undead as always, but that wasn't unusual. Caelyn suggested checking the crypts to see if anyone might be hiding inside. None here, though.

Might as well check on her trees while she was at it. Some are doing splendidly while others not so good.

Something about this crypt always struck her as being foul, but the doors are barred shut. Not likely the mage went this way.

Nothing here either.

Sometimes you don't want to light the lamps.

It looked like someone had already been into the coffers in this crypt. Is the mad mage a grave robber?

The cave was all that was left and there hadn't been any signs of life so far. She knew where it lead and realized it might have been too late. There was only one way to find out, though.

The usual cave filled with rats and undead. Nothing unusual so far.

Hidden: show

Disturbing as it looks, this wasn't unusual either.

Hidden: show

Caves within caves and still no sign of our quarry. Let's press on.

Hidden: show

Enchanted mithral elven sword of the third tier and completely useless against these oozes.

We all know what's going to happen here.

Hidden: show

The bottom of the well with soaked robes and still no trace of the mage.

Hidden: show

Finally back to the surface but without success. Did the mad mage even come this way?

Nothing was out of the ordinary with the guard. The mad mage has escaped.

Perhaps another day will bring more success.
