Taking a break for a bit.

Unread post by DM Hera »

I was as many of you know extremely active as a DM. A few months back I had to go through a grueling review process that left me disheartened and ultimately tired. I think the process helped the HDMs and Admins also myself view things in new ways. Though with the busy season of work upon me, and simply to tired with a busy baby. I need some time away from DMing, I really need to focus on an awesome season for work!.

Cant really run much if the baby is teething and needs mommy every hour, and baby will always come first. So over the next few days I will be wrapping some things up and taking a short rest, going to make sure most of you are left in a good place I was working with. Did I mention work... this is a big season to wrap.

So for a bit the Vampires of the Downward Sun will be on hold along with the Wedding of Duke Entar Silvershield to Brilla. Those few whom I do not get to in the next few days.. worry not, will get things ironed out in time!

till the time of a lighter work load. Be well all.
My personal view is in red, for I am fancy.

On a more realistic note.. I quit DMing for the same reason, and play less now even with a 10 year old. Small children are wonderful blessings, but require a huge amount of time and focus that in the end is deeeeefinitely worth it.

Good luck and hope to see you around some in the future.

As head player of weekend warrior RP action, I will authorize your much needed break. You helped me with my inane requests and that's all that really mattered. So I will give you a 24 HR pass or however long you need...be it maybe 25 hours or whatever.
You did a good job and for that I say thanks.
Cya when you get back.
If in the meantime they decide to make me DM Tekill, I will wreak such an unholy vengence upon all the players of this game, that it will probably best if you just pm me to find out who I have not permadeathed.
CYA when your back. Say hello to you little one for us all.

It's hard to say "rest, recharge", when you have a teething baby on hand, but I hope you manage as best you can. No one benefits from exhaustion, or ever has.

Worry not for plots, the beauty of vampires is those wretched bloodsuckers just keep on undying. Those b@stards.

all the best to you and your family Hera. Haven't been in game much over the past months, but always enjoy our little chats! Hope to see you back soon, once real life settles down.

Catch you on the flip side Hera, the nice thing about kids is that they grow up eventually.

Thank you for your dedication to the server and the stories wrought, thus far. ;)

I am truly sad at your departure. I hope it will be temporary. You've always been super fun to run stuff with.

I'm totally onboard with this, Hera. I took a loooooong break myself when my son was born, and it was the best move I could have made. Family first. Zero regrets. Your return will be very welcome. In the meantime, take your time!
