Omg I knew it. Like, everything I thought since I read the book was confirmed in that last episode. :D

Omg the end though, so visually stunning.

Bran flakes!

Awesome episode. I kind of think they were writing backward for this season, which is part of the reason some of the plot felt a bit jarring at times. I'm glad they brought it to where they did though--so many great scenes this episode.

Dany made a suitably dramatic entrance, and the animation of Drogon blows my mind every single time.

I really loved the scene where Sansa turned on Littlefinger. The dialogue between the sisters and the smirk on his face before the ruse was revealed was just so well done. I wish the planning was shown more, but ultimately the way it was done was superb.

Theon using what happened to him to his advantage made me cheer. I'm glad he finally decided to be brave and go after his sister!

And Viserion bringing down the Wall with his blue fire... man.

It was really a movie-quality episode.

And so, one of the biggest masterminds in the setting is brought down to street hustler level. Arya cutting his throat after a charade of a trial, then basically highfiving Sansa over it, only to be followed by them nostalgically remembering their father, was probably the worst scene in this season. That is not how Ned Stark's children behave, regardless of what they have been through. Funny how in remembering their father they forgot that the one who passes the sentence should also swing the sword. The way that the show has treated Littlefinger start to finish was an absolute disgrace.

Also, I truly hope that Aegon is just a name they used for Jon, seeing as how Elia's children were unnamed. Jon being Aegon Targaryen, the one that The Mountain supposedly killed, makes no sense whatsoever.

+1. Littlefinger really has not been done justice in the show and is not represented in any way as being anything like the books. I will say that after what Sansa and Arya have been through I can actually see them doing something like they did, especially with Bran's vision of how Littlefinger was responsible for their father's death. However, I think the show put keeping Sansa's ladylike outward demeanor above their fathers belief that the one who passes sentence should swing the sword as an unfortunate and lazy resolution. If Sansa can leave Ramsey to die by his dogs, she can pull a lever to hang Littlefinger or otherwise be the one executing the sentence.

This could be very much a miss on their part. However, I chose to believe there were simply two Aegon's, since no one other than Eddard, Rhaegar and Lyanna knew about Jon. It stands to reason that there was another Aegon with his first wife that he spurned in favor of Lyanna, thus there would have been no reason for the Mountain to kill Jon since he wouldn't have known of him. Remember that Eddard told everyone, even his wife that Jon was his son, if he hadn't I imagine Caetlyn wouldn't have hated him so much.

I read this article that said that one of Rhaegar's kids with Elia Martell was named Aegon, too.

I've not read the books, though, so IDK the accuracy.
