Leveling Areas by CR

Unread post by AlfarinIcebreaker »

Hey guys. I was away for quite some time IG-wise, but I took advantage of RCR and I created a new main character. He is a Barbarian/Battlerager Dwarf, currently level 21. I have top of the line equipment for him, but he will really start to shine from level 25 and onwards. He is solid ATM, but I was wondering where is the best place to train him, since I mostly go alone?

I tried Nashkel Foothills but lack of evasion (will get it at level 23) is killing me since those giants hurl boulders on my low reflex. I tried troll claws but I don't have a fire/acid weapon ready.

Any other recommendations? Preferably I would like giants since Dwarves get +4 to AC, and my AC is not quite good enough yet.

Buy any cheap fire/acid weapon or glove and use it to fry the trolls when they are down.

You can also fight with a torch against the trolls

i do think at starting lvl 22(i tried at lvl 19, only get 17 xp per kill due to low lvl going to high CR area but at lvl 22 it increases to 27 to 37 xp per kill), you can try

-Naga and Yuan ti area. advisable 3-5 party team to be more efficient.

-Yeti and air elemental(with DR) venture forth inside Lizardmen cave(dwarven waraxe slashing weapon will be less functioning due to DR) 2-4 party team

-Frost Keep if you have big party 4-6 party team

-Nashkel mines (careful of the casters and high hitting damage orcs) 3-5 party team

-Gullykin undead Crypt(casters are scary/ good turn undead team mates) 3-5 party team

-Reaching woods Gnolls(some casters are scary too and high damage gnolls) 4-6 party team

-Nashkel foothill(since you dont have evasion yet, maybe need teammates with stoneskin or gargoyle boots helping you chunk up some of the boulders damage)

If you want to solo, maybe the Hobgoblins are the ones that can be fought alone but at the expense of lower XP. (lvl 17 or 18 will get around 48xp per kill there)
