Mass Fowl - summon chickens?

Now, this Epic Spell used to corrupt character .bic files and therefore I remember it being changed to be a save or die spell. But I just started to wonder if it were possible to make it summon a chicken for every creature killed? A bunch of CR0 chickens that would be neutral or hostile towards caster of Mass Fowl. Basically these chickens would be so weak that just about anyone could kill them in a single hit for a one point of experience.

Thoughts?

The spell currently turns NPCs into chickens just fine. It's PCs that die instantly.

With Baleful Polymorph being in, maybe the spell can be changed to work against PCs again without corrupting their .bic

I think right now baleful also corrupts players. Maybe I get to it this week.

why was it a chicken in the first place why wasnt it a something that could fight a monster?

Lol, the whole point is you use it on your enemies so they can't fight you. It's not meant to be a buff.

unless it is a hellfire lock flaming avernus chicken!!

should be a 1 in a hundred chance of getting one of those from casting mass foul

But you're not summoning chickens, you're polymorphing others INTO chickens.

Turn enemy into chicken, kill chicken, cook chicken, then serve chicken to annoying person without telling them that the chicken is actually a person... sounds nice to me.

Having this spell summon a chicken, or a bunch of them, will have the very unfortunate - and unintended, according to its description - side effect of unsummoning any other summon you may have at the time. Vampiric feast already is extremely annoying in that regard, although it's intended in the case of that spell.

This.. Why the hell would the spell summon chickens? The spell is basically "Mass baleful Polymorph"

So that in a way, even the PCs 'become' chickens....

I would be willing to have it summon chickens if when they fail a saving throw, they are devoured by summoned chickens.

Or like that spell that summons a giant temporary demon that damages you- how about a giant dire demonic chicken?
