Intuitive strike is weapon finesse, but with wisdom instead of DEX.
Feats seem fine.

if you are considering grey orc, then i really liked playing my M20/C3/SF7 you can take the gruumsh strength domain and you will clean house. it really is a good build and doesnt take too much skill to learn to use. you will pump wis as much as you can and do not forget to take daylight adaption. intuit attack and blazing. divine power and early bulls.
as far as help playing an orc. my orc guild has a lot of information on roleplaying an orc. we have a good group of players and i am here if you need any help with playing your character from a mechanical standpoint as well as guide you through the RP of being an orc. you will not be disappointed by the amount of resource we have for an orc.

Just in case you're still contemplating the idea of epic SR, this thread will give you some good insight as to whether or not you really want to invest.Rinzler wrote:Pure monk sounds interesting - especially with epic spell resistance. However, I don't want to sacrifice too much damage.

Ahh, I didn't realize that intuitive attack was cumulative with the strength bonus already. I thought it replaced strength and you only got the difference between wisdom and strength, so having a higher strength was worse.
If that's the case, I'd like to bump strength up a bit, to 13 or 15- and I need a minimum of 13 dex for feats. How badly do I need dex for AC? (I've been assuming "a lot"
) But I can't seem to find a way to get all of them to end on a nice odd number without sacrificing int for skill points...
Also, do monks need steadfast determination? (I'd been thinking that was just for warriors with crap will saves)
Thanks for the input everyone!
P.S. The cleric/SF build sounds really good, I just like the idea of a pure monk and not needing to rely on any buffs at all. But playing a grey orc does sound really fun

sac the int. and you want steadfast BECAUSE you have good save. it is useless if you have poor fort save

Steadfast means that if you can beat or meet the DC, you will not lose even if you roll a one on your Fortitude or Will Save.WatWatsen wrote:Also, do monks need steadfast determination? (I'd been thinking that was just for warriors with crap will saves)
Toughness => Steadfast Determination, two feats pre epic.
Toughness => Epic Toughness => Epic Resilience, one feat pre-epic, two during epic levels. The difference here is that you will not fail on reflex saves. (Usually regarded useless since Steadfast is easier to acquire.)

Joining the pure monk bandwagon here! If you want mechanical advantage on a pure monk, definitely take Expose Weakness. My monk gets along fine without it though, so I wouldn't say it's an absolute must for PvE survival. Not gonna lie, I was tempted to take Expose Weakness during the 100% RCR month, but decided not to just for RP reasons (just because my monk isn't really big on fighting, and would favor wisdom over combat techniques.
)
Also, pure monk has a good chance of resisting Vampiric Feasts from the dracolich and Chaos.
