...At first it was just a wind that chilled the spine. Then one of the trees of the Sharpteeth forest began to move slowly untill it reached Eleanor. The tree talked in a slow and deep voice:

"Greetinmmmgs, my childmmm....."

The long pauses of its speak took many seconds... almost minutes... The tree scratched the roots in its face that were similar to a human beard and resumed its speech.

"I ammm the Anmcienmt Onemmm.... mmmm"

The tree moved slowly like it was bowing to Eleanor

"I ammm inmmm need of youuuu my childmmmm...." another long pause "You sshallm beee no longermmm a novisssce ssseekermmmmm." As it moved slowly in front of Eleanor "You shall turnmmm in onemmm of my protectorsssmmm..."

The Ancient tree paused for even a longer moment than before. It was measuring its words and choosing how best to tell what it had to say

"The eldersssmmm... They aremm inmmm a deeppmmm slummmbermm... meditatinmmmmgmm... for bad timmmesss arem cominmmmg... bad timmmmesss for ourm sacred santuarymmm..." He sighed and paused "My pooooor childrenmmmm..."

After pausing for a long time again and pondering once more the Ancient one continued:

"My wardenmmm... he wentmm to Evermeetmmm... Hisss mothermmm diesss slowlymmm... hisss peoplemmm needssss hisss helpmmmm..."

The Ancient tree paused one more now with a satisfied look in its face:

"I canmmm say no furthermmm, childmmm... Gooo nowmmm... gather ourm armyyymmm.... Preparemmm for the returrmmm of the eldersssmmm and for the bad timmmmesss aheadmmmm."

With that the tree rooted on the ground again, its face disappeared and the chill wind blow once again.

*walking past the notice board of the Elfsong tavern, she espies the addition to her notice and her lips curl at the edges to a grin as she recognises the person offering assistance from the tone of the note, the use of the word "thingumy" and the name he calls her. She leaves the inn then to seek her friend out, her mind on a variety of tasks that would suit such a resourceful person as he*

*Galen'ael wonders into the Grove and looks around. He exhales deep and long as a look of worry crosses his face. Sensing the near emptiness of the place and he pens a note and leave it for all to see*

Brother and Sisters,

I have returned from a time of solitude and deed. I sense the Elders are not present and much might have changed in my absence.

Those of you who dwell in the tamer lands around Baldurs Gate, please do not hesitate to seek me out. I seek to move our work forward and have been absent far to long, but no longer.

I would gain an understand of those present I have not meant and renew bonds of the ones I do know.

To Isenduil: It warms my heart to see you Seek what I sought, seemingly a long time ago, but short in it's reality. I would welcome your company by my side again.

To Protector Eleanor: I would meet you as well to strengthen our bond and gain understanding of another as Protectors. I have seen your notice of the upcoming celebration and offer my assistance, whatever you may need.

To Warden Silverleaf: I hope the Lady finds you well. I knew Isenduil when he first arrived in these Lands, horned helm upon his head, he is a good and brave man, He has my full support as he seeks to better himself in his service to the Lady and the Circle.

*Galen'ael leaves the note in plain view and goes to sit cross legged before the Ancient One. He chants soft prayers in Druidic, then speaks in whispered tones*

"Ancient One, I have returned to your side. I humbly ask of your wisdom in matters of importance that have occured during my absence and how I might serve."

*he waits*

She is filled with joy to see the note left her in the grove and with a smile she listens to the chattering of the fey guardians gossiping about this Galen'ael who has returned to the grove.

"Is he handsome?" she asks one with a wink and recieves a soft shy giggle back from the youthful dryad "More importantly, is he wise?" she sighs wistfully and feels somewhat reassured when she receives their nods.

She leaves her own note to the returning Protector in the inner sanctum of the grove.

Greetings to you. It will be my pleasure and delight to finally meet another of the grove, since my meet with Azrael I have as of yet seen no other. I would also welcome your help with the ceremony if you are able to attend. I have another young druid, not yet of our grove, to help with the ritual and afew other friends will be helping with supplies and as wardens.

it is good to have you, i will be looking for you. i have had much traning since the last time we meet and i have gotten some other equipment, more fitting to a ranger, compared to the horned helmet i worn. i wear a brown leather armor with hood, and a green cloak.

The Election

Eleanor and Galen'ael have come to know through a dryad that the Ancient one have spoken again.

It's his will for the two of you to elect a third protector between one of the seekers.

You must gather and discuss. The candidate will have to gain favor of both to assume it's position.

If a consense is not achieved, then the candidates will have to prove themselves before the circle.

Wisdom and patience are essential both to the candidates and the current protectors.

The task must be fulfilled.

*As Galen meditates in the Grove a dryad whispers in his ear, he nods to her, then rises*

"As he wishes, it shall be done...now it's a matter of finding these younglings and speaking with them...I shall begin there."

*he leaves the Grove*

*A man robed in deep lush green robes with a deep cowl walks from the boat in the docks district. He carries with him a staff that looks of a living branch with a bright green stone a top that has a slight glow and hum about it. He seemed to have a graceful walk about him as if walking on air, but makes no delay about departing the city.

Once out side he slows his pace taking in the land around him. As he passes by familiar faces along the road a slight nod is given. Only the gods know what they think and who they think he is. Not many could have recognized him with the depth of the cowl. As he steps into the forrest the animals seemed to even take notice.

He soon approaches the enterance of the grove and takes a deep breath while staring at the enterance. He thinks "It has been much time sence I was last here." With another deep breath he continues his walk within the grove. Coming to the paths end, He takes his staff and with a wave a portion of the earths wall removes its self as if knowing the mans will. Once he steps within the inner sactuary of the grove he looks around. Checking to see how things have changed. He notices then forrest dryads watching him and with a familiar nod he gives them thanks for the work they have done with the up keeping of the grove.

He pulls back his lush green hood and speaks to one of the fairies. "Prepare this message and send it to all of those in tune with the land. I have returned and we must gather. There is much to talk about." With a smile at the new task she flys off and begins spreading the word. He takes a seat at the circular table and pulls the old tome for record keeping and begins to review what has been going on for the past months.*

*the Fairy finds Galen at his camp and whispers in his ear, then flys off*

*his eyes widen*

"Thank the Father and the Lady..."

*he packs his things heading toward the Grove*
