Need higher damage on a fighter build?

If you go high on Strength, it will increase both damage and AB. Now, if you get GTWF you will also gain 3 extra attacks at your highest BAB. Therefore, if the opponent does not have damage reduction, it is actually possible to outdamage a two-handed character out the virtue of scoring more hits per round. Moreover, if you make use of Northlander Hewing and reach 26 BAB, you basically get all your main hand attacks with that mode active.

Plus... even Drizzt can look kind of cool at times..

GTWF builds can be quite good if built appropriately to get static damage increases. F12 to get epic weapon specialization and melee mastery, IPA or MY can lead to more damage if your AB is high enough to land all the attacks, using flame weapon our other wands to apply extra damage to both weapons, etc.

Yeah, but you lose 2 AB and several feats and ability scores, unless you go specifically Ranger 6/Tempest 3 but that also narrows you down to a specific build. I'm not saying it can't be good, I just think you will be better off with 2h.
