Transmutation Specialist

So I'm getting pretty close to RCRing Nedrin, and with the upcoming changes to Transmutation announced I was wondering if there were any interesting builds that could take advantage of the following while still mostly being a mage (As in not wearing a fullplate):

Just FYI before you RCR, these changes you are waiting for will probably not happen in the near future.

I hear ya. I'm just fishing for ideas since I'm already playing a transmuter specialist anyway. I don't really wanna change that since the RP is established. People literally refer to my character as "Transmuter" sometimes.

I'm RCRing for the new half-elf head with the long beard, to be honest. I know it's added also as a cloak and or helm option, but I want the longbeard, a cloak and my wizard hat. I'm greedy like that

I have a Gold Dwarf 'Sorcerer 7/Fighter 3/Eldritch Knight 10/Arcane Scholar 10' that went for high constitution to get Fast Healing III. Thus I have +6 Regeneration in shapes, and spontaneous spell casting to rebuff with easy and maintain my Elemental Shield/Death Armor while grinding, with few select no save offensive spells to be used with Improved Metamagic from Arcane Scholar.

How well that build works with the rebalanced shapes, remains to be seen, but for now it is fun enough for me as I have that character on his epic levels with Fast Healing III. (It was slow to level up... Very slow... So slow that I used the 100% RCR in August...)

Thus I would not RCR your current character to be more 'gishy' - these changes just mean that should you transform yourself into something else - you get that +4 AB and AC with your shape. But we need to see these 'rebalanced shapes' before judging if your character has a reason to change shape.

Alright man, much appreciated. I'm holding off on the RCR for now but ultimately need to in order to change Nedrin's face to one that has the long beard. I pestered Paul to put it in and I gotta use it No, but really I have to use it because I want the beard, a cloak and a helm (wizard hat). Can't have those unless I choose the face and the beard at character creation.

However, I figure its a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I can get the face and I can change up Ned's build if there's a better one. However, thanks in part to nwn2db going down this is proving very challenging lol.
