BG Storage and Kemo Storage Questions

With the addition of the BG beta storage option, should players be transferring their old Kemo storage to the new BG beta version?

Additionally, are characters on the same account able to access the BG storage? Do they require the use of the disguise ability to access it?

disguise doesnt seem to work for muling. and now i have two characters stuck with the same name because of that damn bug T.T

Disguise works for both storage systems. However, BG storage doesn't like apostrophes. If you have one in your name you get an error and can't access bg storage.

Well it didnt work for me when i tested it on wolf. Changed his name to Cyrus Raviin, dropped my items, when to collect them and they weren't there so either im doing it wrong or the new system doesnt register it.

Most likely you mispelled something. Do you use the client extension?

I just had the exact same issue. I am unable to access items placed in storage by my main character by others PCs. The old system still registers the names fine and allows access.

Most likely you mispelled something. Do you use the client extension?

I do use the client extension but not when i am actually in the game, only when i want to quote things from other places. I did it all in game and it was spelled correctly. I tried it at least 3 times like this

Log wolf - change name to Cyrus Raviin - put items in storage - remove disguise - log out
Log Cyrus - Attempt to pick up items - not there.
Log wolf - items not there - change name to Cyrus - items there.

Did this many many times checking spelling each time. wasnt working. Then i got stuck with the name Cyrus Raviin on wolf....


Edit: so i was right it wasnt working? I was trying to do all this at the FAI merchant FYI so both same spot.

I found the issue. When disguising into a name that has a last name, disguise will actually just cram both into your firstname, so the disguised name doesn't match the name of your other character that actually have both a first and last name.

wolf disguised -> "Cyrus Raviin_"
Cyrus Raviin -> "Cyrus_Raviin"

So they don't match up.

That will be fixed at next update, so make sure you remove all items from characters disguised as Cyrus, as that index will be inaccessible after the update.
