Rebalance Castorius Leonai
However his name is spelled he is terrible balanced. I am fine with him being powerful but giving him over 1k HP, over 30 SR, absurd DR, 50 + AC, and a CL of 30 really means he is not fun to fight IMO.

The idea is you're not supposed to fight him at all, I'll eventually get around to modify this encounter.

So he is suppose to be a sort of specialty dungeon for sneaks or something? If so maybe put up a node or something to let people know.Valefort wrote:The idea is you're not supposed to fight him at all, I'll eventually get around to modify this encounter.

Re: Rebalance Castorius Leonai
If he is not intended to be fought, perhaps simply removing him entirely then? I was killed the first time at lower levels when exploring this area by walking in here.
I had thought I would attempt it now with an epic character, only for him to despawn due to the fight going on too long.

Originally, Castronius was a dialogue giver at Boaresyk Bridge.
You tried to cross, he appeared, you parlayed. If you didn't succeed or pay him, he casted Storm of Vengeance and disappeared, spawning his army of bandits.
The only times you fought him was when you either by accident or intentionally bugged him out.

No, Castorius is supposed to summon his bandit chronies and then leave without fighting you, that's all. The fight is just supposed to be against his henchmen only, but there's a problem where he gets stuck sometimes.Laughingman wrote:So he is suppose to be a sort of specialty dungeon for sneaks or something? Re: Rebalance Castorius Leonai
So why not set his stats to normal so when he does bug out it doesn't cause a lowbie group wipe? Based on what hoihe says some people were intentionally bugging him out (although honestly I had never seen him disappear at Boerskyre thus apparently I was bugging him out by merely not paying him and opting to fight....?) and it sounds like a member of the dev team set his stats stupid high as a punishment for this. Now he seems to bug out 100% of the time and will not be touched unless his disappearance can be fixed.Endelyon wrote:No, Castorius is supposed to summon his bandit chronies and then leave without fighting you, that's all. He wasn't really gone. He just relocated to a dark place much farther south.
The fight now is a waste though. As he doesn't drop anything either. Might as well wait the counter of the spawn to count down.

Re: Rebalance Castorius Leonai
I'm not opposed to it, though if a dev plans to fix the encounter soon there may be little need. If they just want to turn down his stats that's fine too. I doubt that his stats were turned so high maliciously or to prevent him from being killable as it's easy enough to just set an NPC as completely immortal and invulnerable if you don't want him to die.Laughingman wrote:So why not set his stats to normal so when he does bug out it doesn't cause a lowbie group wipe? If he has spell resistance over 30, then I should not have been able to kill him at lvl 19 with moonblade. If anyone can confirm that, i will wirte a bug report that moonblade ignores spell resistance.
