Thanks Sparty for creating your semi ad hoc encounters with hints, hunts and treasure.
Simple, effective, and just what the Oceanic hours occasionally wants during the server quiet times.
Appreciate it! *two thumbs up*

...now that he's not expecting it, because I never want to conform to his expectations, I can give some public praise about Mercator.
Fun fact: he and I didn't used to like each other. At all. We were just fine staying on opposite sides of the RP spectrum. He did his things, and I did my things, and that was just fine and dandy. But then our RP mingled, and it grew in ways that neither of us really anticipated, and then I wake up one morning and he's become one of my closest, most dearest friends.
He's supported me through some difficult things. He's a remarkable RP partner. He's completely improper from time to time and then blames me for it, much to my constant amusement.
I'd suggest that everyone befriend him, but then I'd have to share him more than I do now, and... sorry, no.
He's brilliant. He's witty. He's clever. He's... *takes a moment to check the list of praises that he already prepared for her* ...oh, right, he's super awesome amazing!
Thanks, Mercator. All jokes aside, you're...
...ah, who am I kidding? I can't not end with a joke.
Love ya babe!

Appreciation goes to Glowfire for patience. It wasn't expected that our characters would really ever run into each and definitely not the way they did but I'm glad I got to know Adelaide!

Likewise, I'm glad to have met Fierlith on Adelaide and got to know her! Always been a character I've seen about but not 'known'.

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
My thanks to DM Soulcatcher, the DM team, and TarnishedSoul for responding to Mi-Le's Myth Drannor research (and my thanks to Glowfire for instigating the whole thing with a casual comment by Adelaide). Since I did not know much about Myth Drannor OOCly, I was learning about it right along with Mi-Le, and that is always fun.
I play Mi-Le as a relatively solitary guy, so he usually doesn't join in on a lot of the RP that happens on the server. That's why I was glad to have a private pursuit for him that brought him into contact with a lot of other characters. Thanks to the players of Elyssa, Kessira, and the other Doron Amar elves that Mi-Le spoke to about Myth Drannor!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
For everyone yesterday involved with the Bracelet excursion. It was quite "batty" and yet no one "jumped the shark" (no, I have no shame over the bad puns here
).
A special thank you to the players of:
Angela Wolfe: Always such a crazy time with you! Love it and can't wait for more!
Alexandra Keenan: That was one of the most eye opening, insightful and overdue talks I've ever had the pleasure of RPing. Thank you for being a part of it and a bit more.
And a massive special thanks to the player of Everett Blackwolf. You've not killed the redhead yet no matter how many bad puns she lets loose with during dungeon crawls, you've not become flabbergasted with how often she ends up....well, I'll admit it... lost in areas we've explored gods knows how many times and for somehow FINALLY cracking through that thick noggin of hers and getting her to see things and react to them in far different ways. You've really pushed me at times to stretch and expend RPwise, and I'm looking forward to see where it goes from here.

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
after leaving for almost two years, iread about the changes, and decided to come back. I was quite sure the removal of item limits would destroy things. It destroyed some of my build concepts, but, wow...
This server is so much better now. I cant think of a single improvement i dislike. the scaling cr, the change in armors, so hide and scale mail has a place, (i always wanted some scale mail users, but the 1 ab hit...), one chest per 6 hours, the bones also working as chests, the days seem longer, the musical instruments that play nice songs, the ILR removal....
the maps look better, have neat little cubby holes in them...
the upperdark, which i have not even ventured into much yet, but love knowing it is there to explore for the first time...
the player limit extended to 96, a storage system and pack horses...
amazing this is done by volunteer work. amazing.

I would like to thank DM Impostor for the fantastic event to kill the Warsworn on 12/2/17.
We had a massive turn out, like 50% more than what was actually expected. Even a stowaway who ended up popping into the map.
However, Imposter wrangled us all like a BOSS, totally keeping the whole thing on track and making sure everyone had fun.
For that matter, I'd like to thank everyone for showing up to fight the warsworn, because, dang, that was cool...

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
A BIG BIG BIG thank you to DM Spartacus for an excellent campaign this year in the prophecy of the twins, White order and Pol horde storyline.
For ALL the players involved with Kory over the year in this whole plot it was great and thank you so much for the RP that shaped him even more!
Looking forward to a great year coming as well from the entire DM staff and crew of BG. You are all great and very much appreciated. Your tireless commitment to the excellence of this server and the stories within it are crowning hallmarks of this server and will be the foundation upon which games like this will continue to age well despite the advances of technology.

Thanks to the multiple DMs for a very very very long magefair event with a lot of players involved.
