true name

if you have add a true name to a gem can you remove the name if you find a stronger gem to make a stronger summiong?

Once bound, the gem is no longer a gem and it can’t be rebound. You can bind a true name to as many gems as you like. But the summon is the same no matter how strong the gem is.
