give the unused weapons some love/specialty feats?

light hammers, sickles, spears, flails have no love. bad damage, bad crits, so id propse some love feats for them, for those who want to specialize in them.

light hammers, i propose a feat something like this:
hammerhands
dwarf only
requires two weapon fighting
when wielding two light hammers, a dwarf can...

sickle
weapons grab
something akin to disarm, or an extra deflection armor when wielding a sickle, or both, since disarm is pretty useless PvE

spear
trip?

flail
momentum
req 14 dex
when your first attack with a flail misses, the next attack will land an extra 1d4 damage.

Weapon Changes
  • Quarterstaff base damage increased to 2d4
  • Spear base damage increased to 1d10
  • Halberd base damage increased to 1d12
  • Shuriken base damage increased to 3d2
  • Flail critical multiplier increased to x3
  • Light Hammer critical multiplier increased to x3
  • Warmace critical multiplier increased to x3

and still no love for the sickle. looks so cool as an off hand weapon...

Well, since you asked, yes, in some cases.

For example, the Halberd of vanilla NWN2 is a Large weapon with 1d10 dmg. In 3.5 D&D, a medium size Halberd is 1d10, and a large size Halberd is 2d8.

So in this one instance, the upgrade to 1d12 is a fair compromise.

dnd 3.5 says sickle and flails can make trip attacks, and the flail has a +2 bonus on disarm attempts.

spears can be thrown, and, if held at the ready state, do double damage agianst a charging opponent. i like that one. none of these even need a special feat.

Trip.

It maybe possible to add a bonus to the Disarm DC when specific weapons are equipped...but you'd have to ask Le Valefort extra nice to take a look and see if at all possible. :lol:

BTW, when Charging, a PC is extra vulnerable to piercing weapons wielded by the opponent.
