New Expose Weakness thoughts.

For me it turns off quite at random. When I walk down the road, it will suddenly be off. It will be on for one opponent, then in the same fight, it will not be on for the next.

Yes, if I rest, I have to turn it back on. Weapon change, that's fine. But this is literally it is on, and then it isn't. I did not deactivate it, I didn't zone. I can't find a rhyme or reason for it. One moment it will be active and I'll be doing the EW attacks. The next it will not.

If I use knockdown, it still remains active, so using a feat/special attack isn't it. But at some point, it just turns off. Sometimes it's 5 minutes. Sometimes it's 20. In between. No weapon changes. No shield changes, no rests or item uses, nothing like that.

It's quite frustrating really.

But the "Perform Default Action" thing on spacebar works great!

Yes it seems random, I have the same experience. Quite annoying.

i dont only if you change weapon or if you pull the weapon away

Then I'm glad it works for you, but for me, it's not working smoothly in that capacity.

When it works, it works great.

When it doesn't work, I'm suddenly not hitting opponents with my Epic Feat.

Tweaked the code a bit in the hope that it won't deactivate seemingly randomly, for the rest everyone is given a free feat on login called "Attack". Put it into your hotbar and you can use it like old EW to attack your target.

Out of curiosity, as it's a custom-mode, is it even POSSIBLE to make the icon flash when active?

Ok update:

Went and did some quick fighting and a dungeon crawl.

The attack feat works marvelously, thank you. Nor does using class abilities, the attack button, or other feats like Knockdown seem to muck with Expose weakness.

Other than resting and switching weapons, which we know about, EW only randomly turned off once for me in the relatively short test. I was fighting an air elemental, then was attacked by a yeti from stealth. When my avatar moved to attack the yeti, EW did not proc, and was off for the next opponent, one of the frost worms. However, the next yeti to attack me from stealth, I did not have EW turn off, so I'm not sure what happened there, if it was something with getting attacked from stealth and new opponents or what.

I was able to alt-tab out to type in skype without EW turning off as well. Not sure if that was an issue before, but doesn't seem to be one.

Thanks Vale for your help on this. And thanks everyone else again for input. I personally still would love to see the flashy-icon thing for visual cues if possible, but that's me. I don't even know if that's possible.

Where is the Autoattack hotkey then? I've never found it. I mean, there's the right click and attack command, but that doesn't help me hot key it as I can't drag it.

And yes, if there was an Attack hotkey, that would solve everything except the mode randomly turning off.

Ok, for a while it worked great, but now it's back to turning off at random. I can't tell what the trigger is.

Last several days I've had it turn off mid fight several times. Just now I was fighting xvarts, had it turn off 3 times in 10 minutes during fights, or in-between fights with no notice it had turned off. I didn't switch weapons, or even use any abilities.

I was fighting, doing expose weakness, then I was not.
