A Sun elf known as Moire Rouge approached the stand and casually assessed what was at a display, until she suddenly says after standing a moment before the weapon rack.
"A little bit shame of the dust on it, as that looks a decent weapon. I offer 35 bags for that blade over there." Moire motions at the fire weapon.

An elf clad in a green breastplate stops by the stall and inspects the wares with interest. He nods firmly as he weights the silver blade in his hands.

"I would love to wield this beauty. For both the blade and the mithral chainmail I offer 200 bags."

The Windspell Knight, Caed Wynter-Rose, returning to the Gate from a cold, late-autumn travel upon the Tradeway, notices the action around this particular merchant.

His eye caught by the interest in the blade, he too makes an offer:

"Good sir, in the name of the Windspells, I place a bid of 70,000 coins in value, upon the flaming longsword."

"For the Armor i know you can buy it from your kins in Doron Amar" *speaks to the elf* "but my price is by far the lowest around, so 150 bags will be good."

"For the sword i think it may be valued much more in terms of bags of gold, as the new customer is trying to do, but a dwarven waraxe of similar power will be accepted. The material as well is very useful, and you can't find so much fine blades on the Coast easily. Think about it and let me know."

A tall female adorned in Full Plate, a tower shield on her back and a longsword at her hip observes the various items. A hood is pulled up but the face is not hidden by any means and one can notice upon being close enough the lack of hair at least upon her head and face. Various tattoos reside in their place in intricate design.

"How much are you seeking for this Blade and this Shield?"

"Well fair lady, it is not my understanding that those that take to calling of the paladin protector, carries such wealth upon them—tis the church that should receive your wealth, and you should stand beside this customer yourself...defend them with your life, if it be such that you consider their safety of utmost leverage to a business transaction."

The Windspell Knight holds his undiplomatic words in flat seriousness, as does he hold his face.

"What I shall use this blade for, is to drive directly into the cold, un-beating heart of Polvich, myself...when it comes to the moment I stand before him, or, any of his supplicants. I will make them all burn...and with this sword, it shall be a hastened future I step into...."

"But perhaps...should your customer need a great and powerful protection against such a foul being as you describe, I can offer you to purchase a shield, said to be blessed by the ancient believers in Amaunator...that can resist all powers of the undead, be it blow or magical evilness..."

Caed goes on to describe the shield to Moire...

"Now what do you say...shall you end your interest in this blade, so that a rising foe of the entire Sword Coast can be laid down in haste, and further, and make a deal apart on this shield, as you can forthwith provide your customer with great protection?"

Displaying an air of pride, but suppressing an air of superiority, she replied. "I'm a merchant, -not- a paladin, but my personal goals perhaps would surprise some. Therefore, I shall help seek a solution that settles this matter for once and for all since we are both interested in this blade. Since I work for a customer and will not return with any other object than this, and since you so are attentive and compassionate with my customer's case... I shall return the favor out of sympathy. I can obtain this blade for you for 260 bags. Which is... an almost 40% discount. If, you walk away and leave me this flame blade. Please." She shows him her notebook.

Hidden: show

[Steve]

"Tis a blade that burns with the force of the sun, that shall bring down such a being that is Polvich, my lady. I will risk much to reach this end...and thus...I believe the bidding much continue?"

Disappointment crossed Caed's face...but also a hint of determination against all odds.

Caed turns to the merchant trader dwarf. "Perhaps...200,000 coin in value will suffice?"

Slightly confused at the man's reaction and him not accepting her offer, she closes her book again. Although the Sun elf was way smaller, she raised her chin as if that could add to her length, and finally turns to the merchant again.

"250.000..." Her voice plain, businesslike.
