Re: The Elephant in the Room overpowered PCs RP HELP
The incident that happened did not involve metagaming. It was two people arguing/hostility growing, and it ended in blows. You seem to be claiming it was metagaming because it does not make sense for a character to attack another because they do not know how powerful their target is. This is not the case.
You were not singled out for being low level, you were singled out by the character in question for openly being a Thayan at the campfire who refused to leave when threatened and then attacked the character in response.
Honestly, Thayans used to only be allowed here by applying to the DM's, because they need to understand that they will have to deal with being openly hated by pretty much everyone.
You can roleplay leaving without roleplaying submission to the will of the aggressor, it just requires a bit of creativity.
At the end of the day, don't instigate conflict in RP if you don't want it to be answered with RP'ed steel to the face

Believe whatever the hell you want to believe. As stated before you're TAKING IT PERSONALLY nothing else. I stated an OBJECTIVE Statement and asked for assistance with being Griefed and dealing with all the EPIC level crap.Korchas wrote:Dude. You have so far done nothing but antagonize people, ignore suggestions of how to deal with it, and asked the server to contort around your expectations of how the world is supposed to work, blatantly ignoring any attempts to deal with this in any sensible way.
You frequently called people out for alleged lack of knowledge and indirectly claimed them to be what amounts to gaming and lore- associated halfwits.
Where, exactly, does that not constitute personal attacks?
At any rate, I hope playing 2 AM sessions, whatever reason for that you have, may alleviate your problems, and wish you a good time on the server despite it's apparent shortcomings for you.
So far, I found it at most a bit tedious and at most two characters I tend to avoid if I can for character-tension-issues. Otherwise, I've yet to see anything complaint-worthy.
Worst-case, do that new server thing you mentioned on page 1! Then you finally have the perfect spot if push comes to shove.

Where, exactly, does that not constitute personal attacks?" AN UNBELIEVABLE STRETCH..
