Treasure map with shovel doesnt work

Hi Baldur's Gate,

So one of my characters (Caedis) and Morgalia Verenach (Playername: Necromantis) were hunting a treasure and found it. However we were unable to DIG the treasure up even after getting another shovel from the merchant. When I equip the shovel, it pops up in my offhand slot as if its a torch but it doesnt add anything to my character. In addition to this, when I activate the map and do the detection thing, it says that I can spot it but that if I had a shovel equiped I could DIG it up. We've tried with 2 different shovel items, as well as the prop.

Any ideas? or is this a bug?

Yes, that was my bad. Forgot to add the proper shovel before the update went in. Save that map till after next update, and the merchant should be selling a shovel that can actually dig.

Part of dynamic encounters. Probably not available in any place that orcs frequent - yet.

ok if this the super secret extra thing you posted earlier and i asked if i could test and then you replied ill put it in troll cave and i said ok awesome and everyone else on the server was like wtf i hate those dumb orcs and i was like idc i like em then i have not seen it yet and hopefully i see one tonight.

I don't know if this is intentional, but the maps can be sold to NPC vendors for max value ^^

As the title says. The shovel says I'm too small to equip it. Even when enlarged. (Human)

Current shovel at the merchant is bugged. Next update you can buy a new working one.

After the update, the shovel worked with one map, but I didn't find anything.

I found a second map, but when I use it, I get a message five seconds later that says "You stopped actively searching" even though I did not turn off Detect Mode. I get the "You stopped actively searching" message five seconds after every use of this map, no matter what. I get no message telling me which direction to go or how far away I am.

Mine worked, just took a bit of troubleshooting and relogging. Treasure was lame but I somehow managed to pick up 4 more maps. Hopefully I'll get something good now that the dig works!

Just to double check, you used the map first, then turned on detect mode right after? And you get no other messages?
