Re: Rumours of Sshamath
*A hooded figuere in dark robes stands in the middle of the crowd watching in silence... For but an instant, an insignia shows between the folded cloths of the robe. A golden spider set in the clutches of Godess Lolth....soon after she disapears into the shadows again*

While others just ignore the mad rambling of known warmongers, and goes about their business. Among those, Nawiel Oreb'le'i does let out a chuckle when she hears the speaker inviting everyone to look at how much they had not managed to steal and pillage from the surface. Thus revealing why there were such desperation to recruit free soldiers for their revenge. Nawiel might even have let out a cackle at the thought as she went along her way.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
Two battle dressed orcs are seen speaking to merchants around Sshamath. Later on that same day the same day these two orcs are seen giving a female drow chase into the wilds of the underdark. A short time later, pitched battle of magic and steel ring through the tunnels. The long and frenzied battle ends abruptly.
Some time later the drow that was being chased is seen returning to the outskirts of Sshamath. She is well known.
The orcs nowhere in sight.

The young female drow stands quietly with her back to a wall. She monitors the faces around her as much as she listens to the speaker. Her hands fiddle with the end of an arrow in which appears to be a nervous habit.

*Energy ripples and crackles as a drow noble from house Sshamath Ter'rol appears in Varallas. Her armor is seen shaking off ice, her skin pale with an arrow sticking in the side of her helmet and into her cheek. She quickly exits the area, as she turns people may notice more than a few arrows are stuck in her armor, yet she is still standing. Whatever happened, it is clear she was wounded.*

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
*Jys speaks out to the citizens of Sshamath from the temple of Lolth. With her an Elf is seen in armor, and a Deep Imiskari man who was recently dead upon being drug into the temple. It would appear the man is living again, while an unconcious Ssinyrr also is present with her hands bound. Jys's left arm would be seen dangling at her side, shield loosely attatched to it, yet it doesn't move during her speach.*
"By the grace of the temple of Sshamath, an Eilistraeein and Deep Imiskari have been restored. This further sets proof to the claims of the desire of peace among our races and faiths! Let it be known that the Darthiir behind me served the city in a capacity to facilitate trade, in the restoration of Darkhold he served. He served alongside the drow of Sshamath!
As such, his own kind would see him dead. He has taken his leave from the Zhentilar ranks to find his own way, when his kin turned against him. As promised, the Qu'ellar Sshamath Ter'rol has afforded him amnesty and protection, becoming the first Darthiir to be accepted among us! Let this further be proof of our intentions, as his continued survival will bring further prosperity among our city and races, and solidify the union of hte people of the Underdark. To Vrinn, I have no ill intent towards you. Where when I conflicted with you before, I was not a citizen of your city and held my duties to hte point of fighting against your superior force, I will portect you now as a citizen of your city. The proof stands in these actions. "
*She would speak loudly, and enigmatically the next proclomation, raising her mace into the air high*

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
Jys is seen returning again, blood falling from her gauntlets and ice all over her armor with dents in it. The weapons don't match the type that surfacers use, and she looks PISSED as she gets on a Quaggoth heading off for Sshamath Ter'rols compound. Shortly after, a group of drow scouts are seen leaving each with a sealed message, departing for a long journey.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
A short argument is heard outside in Varallas between an elven figured woman in blue and silver armor, and a man with spiky armor. As a noble looking male watches the argument- it ends with them turning their back to her, and walking away from her.
For a short time afterwards, the silver armored woman stares open mouthed, the words caught in her throat that she wanted to speak yet choked upon, she turns and eyes the guards to Sshamath. Deciding that risking the guards would lead to a worse fate than death due to her banishment, she ventures forth into the Underdark, passing into West of Varallas and from there out of sight- not seen coming back the way of the city again.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
*Rumours have it a new Bardess to the City named Aly'drin, was heard telling a fantastical story of an EPIC adventure with a group of newcomers through the tunnels and caverns around Sshamath.*
Notable Commentary:
Aly'drin the Bard - I will let the music play......... let it seep Into your very Soul! Against All odds.. The Adventurers Triumph ... As expected........... And the EPIC adventure Continues! Do i have to add this to the epic adventure story or can i just leave it out? again don't play with your food!
Zar'Vyrae the Wizard - I do appreciate some music while travelling. You absolutely get what you ask for. Divine intervention for him to become....pet food it seems... Oh, even in death... they would still be useful to the group... If I say no... would you believe me?
Kel'drin'ar the Sheild - Meet your maker... We are being watched. Before our Tanarukk chews through his entire supply of ears, we should decide how to move forward. let's see what they are made of... Goblins aren't afraid of anyone.
Soldriin the Cleric - Nice clean cut. Zhog, dont eat Varen! I think the dog lost its snacks. There you go Kel, a mercenary.
Varen the Monk - Eat (#2) and die maggot! Always wanted a pet, had a bat once...but tortured it to death. oh...hey, is there a leash law in town? Fido, no pooping here!
Others met along the way:
Tanarukk ((Zhog)) Fido - *rubs hands in the goblin blood* *chews slowly on another goblin ear.* *licks the blood off his axe.* *mumbles incoherently.*
Deldritch - And your dark whats your point.
Zar'Atan - I must admit, it is quite a contigent of kin gatherd here. I find my own involvement rather curious to be honest, but I am bored. Fear can be a good motivator to many races.
Author's Favorite Quotes:
Kel'drin'ar - we have fine brains all over, here
Aly'drin - the floor .. the walls... *shuts it*

(( Thanks to everyone who participated, RP'ed and traveled with us! It was super fun.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
Varalla's guards as well as some of its more regular prowlers have certainly noticed in the last few cycles a group of newcomers, fully armed, armored (when applicable) and combat-ready, passing through for progressively deeper expeditions, and coming back with increasingly heavier coffers to show for it.
The squad seems to be constituted by at least five core members, all Drow, and seemingly led by a female arcanist. Their origins, names and motives remain yet to be discovered.

The local's would definately take a keen interest with the groups backs turned, Nonetheless if barter and/or items were traded or sold in, They would covet any rare artifacts or equipment for themselves or their trade.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
The guards had plenty of chances to study them in detail, as they also routinely performed tasks for them like clearing the tunnels and dispatching or recovering escaped slaves for the right compensation.DM Omega wrote:The guards would take note of appearances, Any insignia, Symbols and notable equipment they may have on their personage.Invoker wrote:Varalla's guards as well as some of its more regular prowlers have certainly noticed in the last few cycles a group of newcomers, fully armed, armored (when applicable) and combat-ready, passing through for progressively deeper expeditions, and coming back with increasingly heavier coffers to show for it.

The leader is a rather young (about 200 years old, give or take), distinguished Drow female, rarely speaking and carrying no weapon or apparent form of equipment, and yet always seeming to be in control of the situation. She wears black clothes of the finest fabric emphasizing her slender figure, and adorned with complex runes that anyone familiar with the arcane arts would recognize as spell forms of some sort.
She is constantly followed and protected by a tall, muscular Drow male, probably her bodyguard or some such. He is clad in the heaviest, darkest steel, and carries a huge tower shield as well as a small arsenal of slashing and blunt weapons, not least the longsword at his hip. He usually takes point, and seems to be tasked with dealing with lesser beings, verbally or by strength of arm.
Two more Drow joined them within a few candlemarks from their advent in the City of Dark Weavings, almost contemporarily: a powerfully built male wearing mottled grey, well armed and surrounded by defensive wards that speak of magical talent of some kind, and an attractive female whom has been referred to (in some occasions right in front of the guards themselves) as "bardess", with long, pure-white hair, a shining silver armor with golden engravings and a wicked-looking longsword that she seems rather competent with.
During the following cycles, a fast-moving, hard-hitting Drow male in red robes clearly designed for comfort and no apparent weapon aside from his very body also became a member of the War Party. Remarkably, he is the only one that openly worships a specific deity, referring to her from time to time in his mumbles, but she does not seem to belong to the Dark Seldarine Pantheon, and thus it might require further investigation to push past simple speculation on the matter.
Recently, an elusive Drow female in grey has been seen accompanying them. Lightly armored and clothed to obtain the best possible camouflage options, and carrying a bow and short blades, she seems to be a dagger in the dark, and probably an expert in locks and traps given her toolbelt.
The War Party has also made use of sacrificeable orcblood meatshields in their expeditions, and specifically at least two Tanarukks were brought along more or less willingly to serve their Drow masters' purpose.
Aside from the Tanarukks rarely making it back to Varalla's (for whatever reason), the group has, quite remarkably, always made it back from their frequent expeditions without a scratch, and carrying double their weights in loot, which was the basis for a quite stable trade relationship with the Bazaar's merchants.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
Rumours of a gang fight breaking out at the Nauklar begin to spread when two rival gangs went to see a certain tanarukk. Maggot and his staff quickly jumped in to subdue the frey, then made one of the gang leaders fight the tanarukk in the Pit.
Chants of "Spinesnapper . . Spinesnapper" begin when at the end of the fight, the short of height but stocky and surprisingly strong tanarukk raised his opponent across his shoulders and proceeded to break his back in two.
The sound of the 'crack' was sickening, and caused many to smile within the crowd.
